Seems to me the execution was theater, whether it’s really bin Laden or not.  What difference does it make?  An interesting puzzle might be, why didn’t Dub pull it off?  According to the most currently prevalent legends, ‘they’ knew where he was several years ago.

First, congrats to TD on Webby. I voted, and about time an effort paid off. (My
people for office will never be elected—if officers we must endure.)

Second, Bin Laden was murdered, not “killed,” vigilante style. Governments get
legal passes, not moral ones. The line-up of killer officers at the top continues,
at least since Truman.

I reckoned the other day—and as I was writing yesterday when posting wasn’t
working here—that a Boomer nee 1950 has witnessed his or her joint at war
for half his or her life. For those really no good at math that would be 30 years.
Speaking only of the most overt offensives.

Let’s hear it for cowboys and cowgirls, now too including Obama and Clinton,

CNN lost its mind over these tapes the other day, finally commentators
sounding like Joan Rivers reviewing a Hollywood starlet’s get-up. We heard,
among a host of other adjectives: “dingy,” “dreary,” and of course, “old,” “gray”
and “vain,” the last with reference to Osama watching himself on TV, apparently while
drinking Coca Cola, evil elixir of the West. (It used to be good—at the turn of
the 20th Century, not that even I was around to experience that. But from what
I’ve read…of sensible drug laws back then. Labor enjoyed some freedoms then
it’s not known since. The objective ever since has been one of extremely
irrational and rigid belief systems mostly founded in yet higher finance, and
thus more extreme, capitalism.)

Didn’t Bush love pb&j sandwiches? So do I, what of it? While all sodas are
detestable, which fact as it relates to Bin Laden is also irrelevant as it gets.

But it’s not about what’s relevant… That the White House thought to release
these tapes and not photos of murder done tells us a lot about their actual
regard for we the people whom officers claim to hold in esteem.

The so-called “fourth estate” changed from being a “watchdog” or “stopgap” for truth in government when it started treating any and every press release or statement from the White House/government as “truth” without even pretending to fact-check it. Part of this is the result of the 24/7 news cycle, and the media simply got lazy.  But no matter what the reason, when the media treats government press releases and statements as “fact,” and delivers those “facts” unchecked to the public, that is called “propaganda.”

This is what allows the government (and media) to get away with marginalizing anyone who questions or disagrees with the “official story” as a “conspiracy theorist” - a phrase that has been successfully propagandized into a pejorative or epithet.

Unfortunately, the average American (sheeple) is either too ignorant or too apathetic to care.  They eat their pablum, believing anything their government tells them.  It is beyond sad; it is a travesty.

I’m glad to see so many of you/us have seen through this obvious sham.  So the question is, why aren’t TruthDig and others covering the real story, the real issues?

I read a comment from someone earlier that made a lot of sense; “If we look at the modern media the same way we look at a modern commercial or a modern ad campaign, with the same caution and obvious knowledge that something is being “sold,” then it starts to make sense.

So, now that we’ve killed Osama and stolen the “playbook,” who could possibly question the “intelligence” or intent behind a new wave of checkpoints at Amtrak stations (Senator Schumer just today suggested a “no-ride” list for Amtrak), and I’m sure the same is in store for bus stations, football games and concerts.

It’s time to stop this madness.

I guess TPTB will keep working on this official story much like they did 9/11.

I would add that, thus far, neither the gov’t nor the media has even attempted to explain why, if all the videos they allegedly found were recent, he looks ten years younger and healthier in some than he does in others.  Couldn’t be that some of these videos are, in fact, ten years old, could it?

This whole story is such a crock.

According to the BBC, the story is being rewritten yet again: although bin Laden (or ‘bin Laden’) seems to have been a frail, ill old man living in a dump without trained and competent guards, a defensive perimeter, or an escape route, he was nevertheless also the hands-on operational commander of a powerful if invisible empire of terrorists.  No doubt he also controlled hosts of djinn and flew about on a magic carpet to visit his field commanders.  I wonder what tales we will hear next.

Jesus Christ people, wake up. That is NOT bin Laden. The ones of him with the black beard are simply laughable. Look at this man’s mouth, his nose, his eyes: he bears only the most superficial resemblance to bin Laden. These videos are fakes. I also saw somewhere that bin Laden is left handed but this man uses his right hand to use the remote. The CIA has been caught out numerous times releasing videos with fake bin Ladens in them and this is just another example of their handiwork. How people can still be taken in by this shit is beyond me.

Releasing this video may backfire as it portrays a rather frail, pathetic figure living in humble surroundings rather than the prince of terrorists living in a mansion we were told about last week.

Why can’t administration officials just tell the truth as they know it rather than embellish and fabricate - we have Republicans for that.
