The host of “Last Week Tonight” hit on an important factor contributing to some people’s insistence that climate change doesn’t exist. He realized that in the media, debates on the destruction of our natural environment are not representative of how much of the scientific community is in agreement when it comes to factual evidence regarding the matter. Usually, he pointed out, the debate has one person denying climate change exists, and another (usually Bill Nye the science guy) explaining why climate change is in fact a pressing reality. Watch as Oliver sets up a debate that makes a bit more sense, statistically speaking.
