Bill Maher on the GOP: ‘They’re Such Sore Losers’Posted on Apr 1, 2010
Bill Maher was his usual irreverent self on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show,” praising House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s “balls” in the health care reform saga and riffing on the infamous “death panel” controversy in ways Sarah Palin most definitely won’t appreciate. —KA Part 1: Part 2: Advertisement Previous item: 'Daily Show': Fear of a Black C-SPANet Next item: Colbert to Frum: 'When Has the Head Helped the Conservative Movement?' Interesting that self-proclaimed libertarian Maher shares the same party affliation with the person behind the original organizing and funding of the tea party movement, billionaire libertarian David Koch, of Koch Industries, Inc.

Bill needs to try another subject. He has become all about “the pot”. While it should be legal, we don’t need any more stoners hanging around than we already have. We are already a nation of drunks, and look where that has helped lead us.
As for the tea party stuff, I hope he keeps pounding away at them, because the MSM is too busy circle jerking them and Palin at every turn. Somebody needs to remind everyone that the tea baggers are just dumber brown shirts without the fashion sense.

photoshock:“show the world America is truly the land of the free and the home of the brave. Not the fighting and dying brave…” We lost more freedom than most people realize during the Bush years and yet the rep. supporters have failed to even see it now. AS for those who are fighting, all to often it is because there are no more jobs here in America but for that of creating wars half a world away. The repubs showed us during the Clinton years what underhanded losers they were, they have accelerated it even more so now and are proud of the fact that America is fast becoming a third world country all the while they continue to stir up the ignorant unseeing masses who still believe that we are #1. I wish we were, but we haven’t been for some time now.
Foreign countries are not as blind and stupid as those in the right(wrong)wing think. They see as for what we are,a war mongering, bullying, crumbling nation which is trying to force its people back in education and progress and into a narrow view of what they think America should be. White, male dominated,an aggressive war mongering nation, regressive and repressive in rights and education gained and into the religious dogma of a radical brand of Christian religion of a father knows best but has never actually lived or experienced that way of lifestyle themselves.
This past week my home town of Flint, due to declining tax revenues as most jobs relocated to other countries, about 60 police and firefighters were let go. Since 30 minutes before the announced layoffs last week we have had over 46 arson fires, mostly abandoned and empty houses from Wednesday to Saturday, then occupied houses were added. Seems to me that long ago in America when there were emergencies here at home, we could call upon the National Guard to assist in a crisis situation because National Guard was originally meant for our Nation as in at home in American problems, but wait they are still fighting Bush’s illegal wars in the Middle East. Along with taking our home troops away from our home front,Bush should have changed their name to something more fitting like the Foreign Guard instead. We sure could use our own people here at home to help out now. If the abandoned house next to me goes up due to arson-2 1/2 story house to my little one story house is gone,it is less than 15 feet away.
Thank you all you short sighted Repubs who helped create this mess here on the home front. And yet they still complain.

In today’s world, even William F. Buckley Jr. the arch-conservative of all conservatives debated the fact
Report thisthat marijuana should be legalized and the proceeds given to the state.
When someone with his credentials makes such a claim, that the ‘war on drugs’ is being lost then it’s ‘high time’ that the Congress and the President and the Supreme Court, listen up and do the right thing.
Though the Far Right Wing Nuts of the Republicrat Party will never let marijuana or any other drug than alcohol be legalized. Canada has the right laws and they are reaping the benefits of an enlightened society. While we here in the United States of Insanity are the heirs of the laws regarding the ‘evil weed.’
Someone with the balls to stand up to the politicians and the corporatocracy must take the lead and show the world that America truly is the land of the free and the home of the brave. Not the fighting and dying brave, but the logical and reasonable brave.

Re: Marijuana legalization. Best way is a ‘use’ tax.
Report thisIf one is found in possession by authorities simply
present your ‘use’ licence. $100/yr. $1000 fine for
using w/o a licence. Marijuana is too easy to grow on
your own to ever be commercially regulated.

The GOP and Tea Partiers have a real ‘tude.
They remind me of the old man who finds a flaming poo bag on his porch at Halloween and curses when he stomps on le sac bag du merde.
They remind me of the sandlot bully who stikes out (after demanding 8 strikes) and then tries to bully his way up for another at-bat.
They lost and cannot get over it; they cannot even stand to wait until the next inning. So they invent a whole new violent game that they think they can win. When they can’t play by the rules, and they can’t change the rules, they mug the winning team in the parking lot and claim God said they were sent to do it.
