Bachmann Blames Deadly Natural Disasters on God’s Wrath

Hurricane Irene makes landfall on the United States.

Michele Bachmann’s press secretary said the candidate was obviously speaking in jest when she attributed the recent earthquake and storm afflicting the East to an angry God. Well, as long as she was only joking about events that killed at least 35 people. ...

Here’s the quote: “Washington, D.C.—you’d think by now they’d get the message. An earthquake. A hurricane. Are you listening? The American people have done everything they possibly can. Now it’s time for an act of God and we’re getting it.”

Not amused? CNN is. Listen to the anchors’ jokey banter after they play the clip—and try not to be so serious, blogosphere. It’s funny to joke about storms that kill people. Don’t be a buzzkill.  —PZS

I find the Scherff-Bush family home page, and its 2012 candidates interesting.

One assumes that Jr. has been told to not reveal the accurate identity of his sire.  And, to have a rich relative front the home-page.  Oh well. Such is dishonest politics and dishonest NAZIs.

All this talking about a god showing his dissatisfaction by altering the weather is so 4th century BC. Greek, Roman, Judean etc. They are showing a regression away from the Enlightenment, which they despise, and return to a time where mysticism in integrated within their view of the world and how it operates. Naturalism alone is wrong to them. It must be mixed with supernaturalism to be “real.” And speaking of things like this as being “god’s wrath” is part of it. Along with those who say that some mental diseases are really demonic possession and should be treated as such. Atavism promoted as a way to get back to the mythical “Golden Age” they would demand we return to.

Palin, Bachmann, and Perry, who are or pretend to be
ignorant, stupid and credulous, in short, boring.

“are” ignorant, stupid and credulous (when credulous
means moronic), in short, boring.  More than a proggie
thingy, it is a newsy thingy that cannot give enough ink
or airtime (let’s call it farts) to this triplet.

If there is a god, or gods, (there is no real reason to believe
there is), I have a hard time believing given the size of the
universe, infinite, that god, or gods, would take the time to be
bothered to interact with clearly its biggest mistake, humanity.
But then, the Biblical literalists do not believe in the universe
larger than what can be seen with the “naked” eye and even
then that would be an obscenity, so they just call it the ‘sky.”
If they argue that indeed they do believe in the infinite
universe, there are all kinds of absurdities that would follow in
order simultaneously to believe the Bible gives words of
unerring truth.

I don’t know.  My superficial impression is that few rightists read web sites like these.  And they don’t pay much analogous attention to semi-leftist politicians because they know the Democratic Party will get rid of them.  They are mostly in a world of their own where Mr. O is a Muslim commie hippie homosexual, and so on.  But I am no scholar of these matters.  I read a few rightist mailing lists for their paranoia, not their political theory.

Fascination with politicians on the Other Side seems to be a proggie thing.  Consider the huge amount of ‘ink’ given to the likes of Palin, Bachmann, and Perry, who are or pretend to be ignorant, stupid and credulous, in short, boring.  Although as Emile says Bachmann is sort of cute, unlike Palin and Perry who look like suburban real estate agents.

I actually respected Bachmann slightly more for saying that before her press secretary proclaimed it was said in “jest.” If Bachmann believes that and includes such a statement in a speech, I may not agree but I can respect that. But this level of back tracking is a bit ridiculous.

But alas we probably will hear more or the same lies that we heard today. So who is the bigger fool, Bachmann or her followers?  Montana (unregistered)

Perhaps another group are even much bigger fools.  Those who spend effort scapegoating Palin, Bachmann, and other genuine Americans, while a 29 year CIA operative, offspring of a Caucasoid Brit mother and Negroid Brit sire (not Dr. B.H.Obama), born in Kenya, continues the process of dissolving the U.S.A. . . after making a mockery of the Presidency of the United States of America. Currently focussed on the destruction of American socioeconomic strata 3+4, the broad middle class, living out a falsified family history concocted by the CIA and the Ford Foundation goes practically unnoticed.

Good ole Yale Univ., home of Skull and Bones, whose members grow up to be the “prominents” of Bohemian Grove. Members of which satanic fraternity get to make mock human sacrifices before the huge owl annually, and as reported by Richard Nixon, also engage in male-male orgies among the redwoods of California.
What an insult to nature.

If one stays in favor with certain families, like the George H.W. Bush Sr. entourage, and are considered to be a “company man” for enough years, one might even be appointed to a Federal Judgeship. However, only minority membership of some type qualifies one for the Supreme Court.  After appointment, if one does a conscientious job like Judge John Roll, and earns a broad base of respect among peers to include consideration for a Supreme Court position - but is not a Yale graduate -  a lone, looser-type gunman may assassinate you - and several others - masking the intended target.  Word reached me a few years ago that the C.I.A. had a list of such loner-types in all major locations of the U.S., who were not CIA agents. Perhaps nowadays Division V of the F.B.I. also assists with the list.  http://wn.com/JOHN_AND_THE_CIA

the worst drought ever in its history.  That it has been
over 60 days of temperatures over 100, which means
it is burning up.  Maybe da debble is reclaiming it?
And all of RIckydick Perry’s prayers are antipathetic?
Maybe Texas will dry up and blow away?  That is one

Instead it’s a reciepe for frustration.. on an ongoing basis…

There’s no need to say anymore really, except that with North West Texas turning into the Namib desert, she is putting slick Rick on dangerous ground….I guess Mr. Perry’s prayers remain un fullfilled…

That’s their answer for everything, pray to God, then ignore the results unless they are what you wanted….

Michelle, Michelle, Michelle! What century do you claim to be from? I find it so ironic that so many people in power use God as the culprit that causes these calamities we humans experience on Earth and then use this judgement to justify their unholy statements and actions. Where is the simple logic here. God has presumably given us humans free will and yet when we screw things up here and we experience the consequences of our actions we blame God? Get REAL…  God doesn’t “send His rathe” unless you believe God to be some cosmic liar? He doesn’t give us free will then beat us over the head when we don’t do his bidding. Where is the free will in that? It is the universal law of cause and effect that is being played out here. God simply observes us Humans with what He has given us. Stop blaming God as the culprit in Humanities foibles.
We humans must stop hiding from our ultimate responsibilities of being the Care Takers of this magnificent planet. Our pillaging of our planet has its consequences. It is simply cause and effect. Wake up Honey!
Kittens grow up to be cats. Puppies grow up to be dogs, what do children of God grow up to be? Its time we “children” grew up and took responsibility for our actions. It is time to grow Spiritually beyond the religious dogmas of yester-year, and demonstrate to God just what kind of world we are willing to collectively create.

If I were sufficiently irrational, I’d be inclined to blame the hurricane on false prophets and demogogues like Michele Bachmann who claim a privileged, unerring, and politically convenient knowledge of the Almighty’s inscrutable ways. It should be clear to everyone who walks upright that the Pat Robertsons and Jerry Falwells, the Bachmanns and Perrys, consistently remake God in their own image. That Bachmann is an idiot and a charlatan with no introspective self-awareness is of little concern to me; that others find her beliefs inspiring, credible, or even palatable, however, keeps me awake at night.

At some point, I do hope we find out what “god” she is getting her “messages” from. In typical, narrow-focused style, she discredits herself and many who understand that being a Christian means following Christ’s example and teaching, and not having stone age Judiac law supersede that. One one hand, she makes claims of punishment but on the other loudly blares that the US will only be “blessed” as long as the US supports Israel completely. You can’t have it both ways - the US has paid over $3 billion a year for how long? What I see, as that part of the budget is “third railed”, are an increase in disasters within the US, which makes no sense. Where are those blessings. Michelle? Like all false gods, it demands more and more and people like this will sell out her country in a second, if she believed it was her “god’s” will.

Call me old fashioned but I believe Karma is returned to a nation for its sins. What is the sin for the millions of dead in Iraq and Afghanistan? What is the sin for going to war based on the lies of 9/11? What is recompense for for letting the Zionist Jews goad us into fighting a proxy war for Israel and killing Muslims? What is the sin for the blood on America’s hands in Libya as we raise up a rebel army of murderers and Islamic extremists and vandals? Zionist bootlicker Bachmann ought ask those questions for the nation - for they are pertinent. What is the sin for a representative that leads us into false wars based on lies? Bachmann like the rest of those that serve the AIPAC interests of Israel has blood on her hands. Blood of Americans that died and blood of the innocent people killed and countries wrecked by America.
