As Seen on TV: Mr. Fish on ‘Carson Daly’Posted on Nov 24, 2011
Ever wonder what makes the fabulous Mr. Fish tick? What’s his mission in conjuring up those wildly creative cartoons? Wonder no more, as the man behind the moniker, our own Dwayne Booth, appeared on last Friday’s “Last Call With Carson Daly” to talk about his provocative oeuvre and what he believes “real democracy and real dissent is about,” no doubt startling many an unsuspecting viewer and edifying countless others. Watch and learn as Mr. Fish takes us all to school in the clip below. —KA “Last Call With Carson Daly” via Hulu: Advertisement Previous item: British Journalist Squares Off Against Former Goldman Partner Next item: 'Left, Right & Center': Third-Party Politics New and Improved CommentsWe are launching a major overhaul of our comments section. My favorite is definately this one:

I really enjoyed Mr Fish’s opening comment on that segment! “...it’s not the “bullies”, it’s the people who are too polite/too well-mannered to speak in contemptible words.”

It’s interesting to ask people to pick their favorite panels from Mr. Fish’s book.
There is so much emotional punch to his work that it seems there is a lot of validity to
what people choose and project.
I get a similar emotional response from Mr. Fish’s work that I got from reading Bill
Report thisWatterson’s Calvin & Hobbes comics. You sometimes have to wrest your eyes from the
page/image in order to continue absorbing the impact of what you are witnessing. Much
like Watterson’s work, Mr. Fish often leaves me with strong feelings of gratitude.

For some reason, I expected a man of Mr. Fish’s wisdom and insight to be closer to MY age than he appears to be.
Your cartoons are excellent.
