Alabama’s Governor Joins the 21st Century

Posted on Jan 20, 2011

Only Alabama’s newly installed Gov. Robert Bentley knows for sure whether he was sincere Wednesday when he apologized for saying, just last weekend, that non-Christians weren’t his brothers and sisters, but it was evident that he had learned another key lesson from the exercise: Word travels really far, really fast on the Internet, so you’d best watch what you say.  —KA

We are launching a major overhaul of our comments section.

In addition to more robust spam filtering and moderation, new features include the ability to rate other comments, sort how they are displayed and respond directly via e-mail or in a thread.

Like it or not . . . this is EXACTLY what Christians believe, whether they call
themselves conservative, moderate, liberal or whatever.

Really? You’ve lived on this rock for more than 5 decades and you just now realize
you need to choose your words carefully? Fuck you and your idiotic religion. I
don’t want to be your brother…

hello. within my own religion a humility resists
Bible belt whipping enemies. i falter at loving
enemies alike my brother, sometimes in moments of my
greatest need. my nomenclature allows a degree of
evil to trespass my soul, without changing my self.
evil is the same shortcomings of my self, multiplied
within any non-humble brother. he is my soul brother,
(from the same source), but has allowed external
influences to supersede his benevolence. i can love
that he shares life, without permitting his hatred
unconditional trespass of my soul. i have brotherly
love, but will not associate with him as my brother.
am i Christian, because for my faults i may be forgiven? or will allowing him to completely trample
my soul, be more Christian? how does a mortal know
God’s will? your religion is the foundation of your
political science, and society enacts religion:
therefor your religion defines your society. a
religion defined our union of states. peoples of
other religions (or non-religions) are welcome
visitors to this country, but they are incapable of
completely sharing in the life of this union, without
sharing its religion.

“It will always be someone asking, after an introduction, what is your faith, to be accepted or ostracized. Almost just like the nazi selection process at the train station; ‘go to the left’ or ‘go to the right’.” (samosamo)

Which practices were introduced in the USA when GHWBushSr. was the secretive head of the CIA, late 1950s-1981, during the time it did approx.  8,000 illegal insurgencies in autonomous foreign countries, infiltrated the USGov and all state governments.

Former governor of Minnesota, Jesse Ventura describes the situation in his articles and videos.  There is also the Red list, the Blue list, more recently the yellow list, and a Hillary Clinton list was reported ten years ago.  These lists are a continuation of the “train-station-sorting” of the WWII NAZI dictatorship, which transferred its HQ from Berlin to DC and Huntsville, 1945-1948.

How long has cyber snooping and sorting by the USGov been going on ?

The governor does not need to apologize to me. I do not want to be his brother.

****************

Let’s see. Alabama had a republican wife beater as governor who
got caught with his hands ‘in the cookie’ jar(mispending
inaugural funds I believe), an ordained preacher, had to resign
his governorship and put on probation for four years.

Then there is the alabama supreme court justice who PUT the 10
commandments in the capital rotunda and had to be removed
from the bench by a federal judge because he won’t remove the
10 commandments.

Guess this clown (who is really not very funny) should be
expected. And no, since he realizes the publicity he has incurred,
there will be a closer closed tighter lip to what he says and only
his actions will determine his true intent.

Too bad the commercialization of religion doesn’t allow for
people to live a personally religious life. It will always be
someone asking, after an introduction, what is your faith, to be
accepted or ostracized. Almost just like the nazi selection
process at the train station; ‘go to the left’ or ‘go to the right’.

This disease of superstious ignorance and bigotry along with disdain for reason and intellect in preference for aquiescence to authority and an unflinching dependence on faith when confronted with unpleasant realities is a hallmark of the benighted confederacy as well as their reactionary bretheren in the rest of the country. Those beset by paranoia, fear, hatred, and greed get what they vote for as evidenced by so many of the public officials whose abject nonsense is foisted on us daily by the corporate owned MSM in the hopes that the old adage about repeating a lie incessantly will make it true!

Of the numerous points that the issue contains, anyone
can pick out one, to either amplify or scapegoat.

Similar and worse statements are made daily by leaders
in other religious groupings.  Most of which statements
are carefully not covered by “public” news media, and
are never publicized.

The “Christian” religion is currently the scapegoat,
thus consistently receives dishonorable mention.

I’m only 67, but I’ve never met a christian who wasn’t
a liar and a hypocrite.

Sell ALL that I have and give to the poor?  No way!!

Visit the sick and imprisoned and naked?  Are you NUTS?
I’d rather be a goat.

oh please drbhelthi, the point is not that he is merely religious, but that he is an elected official sworn to an office that serves all of the people in his state, not just those of his religions. as the forefathers believed, religion is a personal thing that has no place in governance of the people.
why the need to bring up other religions? and if he were a public official that was a follower of any other faith, the public outcry would have been much worse… in fact he probably would be forced out of office.

What this governor blabbered is nothing, compared to
what is preached in some mosques.  And a few synagogues.

However, how many “sermons” from mosques are turned
into videos for the public to view?

Similarly, that which is preached secretively, among
administration officials, reported occasionally by
“Wiki-Leaks” and other transparent news-media.

When I saw this sorry example of a person on Countdown tonight, I thought I bet he is a preacher, man of God, etc.. and lo and behold they revealed he was a DEACON! He fits the stereo type of the narrow minded, hate filled, my religious version of God is better than your version of God, even his physical appearance screams man of the cloth-only in his own teeny tiny little mind. The hate that comes forth from this man is what is wrong with the world.

Hey, is he the nut job preacher that wanted to burn the Korans a few months ago?

Glad I don’t belong to his branch/brand of organized religion.What a loser.

Just another narrow-minded, unloving, self-proclaimed “Christian” who wouldn’t know Jesus if He bit him on the ear…
