Ahmadinejad’s U.N. Speech Prompts Another Delegate Walkout

Delegates from the United States and Europe walked out of the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday afternoon in the middle of a speech by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when he began expressing anti-Israeli sentiment.

“European countries still use the Holocaust, after six decades, as the excuse to pay [a] fine or ransom to the Zionists,” he said as delegates from France got up to leave. He also blamed the United States for the global financial crisis, saying that by dominating the world’s “policymaking establishments,” overspending on the military and “printing trillions of dollars,” it led the way to worldwide inflation.

But this is not the first time delegates have walked out on Ahmadinejad during a speech at the United Nations. It is at least the third year in a row delegates have left him at the podium. In 2010, delegates walked out as Ahmadinejad began detailing a conspiracy theory about how the 9/11 attacks were an American construction to buoy a floundering economy. In 2009, delegates walked out of a U.N. anti-racism conference after he described Israel as having “a racist government.” —BF

I guess truth most often is ugly and mediocre politicians are just not used to it.  It’s sad that the world (especially the western world) is full of mediocre politicians and the really smart (with some common senses) and brave ones are often demonized or assassinated (like Paul Wellstone and JFK).

Aside from his holocaust denial (which may be a tactic to create controversy and keep him and his government in power). It was a fine speech, which is more than you can say for most.

There is also Iran’s troubling record on human rights.

As a speech, however, it was worth listening to.

I think that was so rude , childish and cowardly for the Americans and club to walk out on the president of Iran.
What he had to say makes sense to me.

Upon further examination it seems I was attributing Ozark Michael’s comments to “The Crow”.

I stand by everything I have said.

(and I apologize for the silliness).

I also found that SNL skit unwatchable (for a number of reasons).

Re: “And the fact that he is an engineer must mean that all these scientists, architects and engineers are also holocaust-denying anti-semites”

Are you being sarcastic or do you honestly think your statement above makes any sense???

If you do, perhaps you should apply for a job as a speechwriter for Netenyahu.

I love the Jewish people and if you want to accuse me of being an anti-semite, go right ahead.

Shock: America Fighting On the Side of Al Qaeda in Libya

By Byron York, Washinton Examiner

Evidence is emerging that United States forces are waging war in Libya on
behalf of rebels whose ranks include jihadis who fought against the U.S. in
Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq.

Britain’s Daily Telegraph reports that Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, a leader of U.S.-
supported rebel forces in the fighting around Adjabiya, went to Afghanistan in
2002 to fight against the “foreign invasion”—that is, U.S. troops who invaded
Afghanistan in retaliation for the September 11 attacks. The Telegraph says al-
Hasidi told an Italian newspaper, Il Sole 24 Ore, that he was captured in 2002 in
Peshawar, Pakistan.

Please note that my statement earlier, “Yay for the Left, and its happy marriage to the Islamist Ahmadinejad.” might have been understood as a cheap shot, tying two things together that dont belong together.

But do not blame that tie on me, as if its my invention. You run the articles here that tie yourself to the Islamist cause. Please wake up!

Read the posts here which you encourage by the articles you thoughtlessly put up and the way you present them.

Adding a SNL skit does not turn this into something light-hearted.

Again, please read the posts and see where this is headed.

You would think those world rulers would have sat through the speech out of
respect for the Iranian people.  They are same folks who keep telling other nations to develop democracy and institutions in order to discuss their problems. But when they participate in an assembly of an international organization they behave like bullies.

No speech was worse than Obama’s, Robert Fisk captures the reality nicely:

While there were several things I strongly disagree with in his speech, I’d have to say that on the whole there was a lot, a hell of a lot more truth in it than Obama’s exercise in deception. They walked out on the wrong speech.

Stark raving madness.

And the fact that he is an engineer must mean that all these scientists, architects and engineers are also holocaust-denying anti-semites:

The Western imperialists also walked out of rooms when newly independent
leaders had the temerity to challenge their backslapping and self-congratulatory
hypocrisies.

Beyond his piousness, most of what Ahmedinejad said was the truth. But some
people and especially people who think they should naturally rule the world, feel
affronted by such truths.

RE: the Left, and its happy marriage to the Islamist Ahmadinejad.

not so fast: remember how hot the so-called ‘left’ was for the Iranian so-called ‘green revolution’ - that straw man doesn’t stand up for those among us who know the score:

delegates from the United States and Europe - water-carriers for the global finance oligarchy - walked because he called their bluff - Gaddafi did too - they raised the stakes - the bombs keep falling and likely will for sometime - badly played hand

seeing the punishment NATO is inflicting on the people of Libya, you can bet that between Moscow and Bejing Mr. A is running up his cell-phone minutes - no doubt he’d like to get one of them ante up with the sort of ultimatum China delivered on behalf of Pakistan after the Bin Laden snuff drama

remember, Iran was on the neocon’s hit list too - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S31ipXl5IQ -and, Obomber seems more astute at advancing the globalists’ agenda than was the Shrub

Another year another walkout during an Ahmadinejad speech, this is just a circus show by now.

And tomorrow the Obama White House will make us look worse when it votes against Palestinian statehood.
