A Very Jerry Primary Party: Brown Readies for Battle With Meg Whitman

California Attorney General Jerry Brown is making his play to once again become governor of the Golden State, and he stepped out Tuesday night at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles—wisely starting his speech after the Celtics-Lakers game concluded—to extoll the value of frugality in these tough economic times and to declare that “we’re not scapegoating immigrants” in this corner of the country. Oh, and he also took a not-so-thinly-veiled shot at his Republican challengers and their pricey battle to the primary finish line.  —KA

Mr. Brown should start some wild fire’s. Everyone will vote for who the fire fighters like after that.

Attention, fellow Californios:  Meg Whitman or Jerry Brown.  That’s not a choice.  The hell with both of those sodbusters!

ALL HE HAS TO DO IS TO POINT OUT THAT HE
GENERALLY HAD BUDGET SURPLUSES, BROUGHT
GREEN BUSINESS TO CALIFORNIA, AND DID A LOT

Going to be interesting to see Meg Whitman explain away all those racist
commercials she ran during the primary to all the Latino voters in California.

Nothing is more obnoxious than whatching candidates do commercials over and over again without any real details about what they stand for beyond I have more commercials then you. He really does make a good point here that speaks to me. Government is not something that should be awarded to vanity I’d say.

Meg has way too much ambition without substance for me at this point.

In all fairness though, he needs to put his specifics out there too.

If Mr. Brown wants to win, I think he’ll have to do better than refute, Ms. Whitman’s arguments, and her plan. People are weary, so weary, of the teeth gnashing, and Greek Chorus like response of the audience to the well rehearsed mantra’s of the left.

He’ll have to understand, why conservative ideas remain so attractive, even after all the carnage.

The middle class, continues to flee this state, due to it’s deterioration, and increasing burdens on those that work.

Without a tax base nothing can be done.

And if Ms. Whitman succeeds in making Mr. Brown look like California’s past he will lose. And right now she’s looking like the future to a lot of people.
