Newt Gingrich isn’t giving up his fight for the presidency. The kamikaze candidate has released a new ad attacking Mitt Romney as someone from Massachusetts, the hippie gay rainbow brown people state, or something.

No, you’re not imagining things. That is French music in the background. The only thing worse than Massachusetts is France. They don’t just have health care in France—they have free health care. Savages.

Speaking of Rom-bot, Andrew Sullivan thinks the obvious choice for GOP nominee could be in serious trouble, because, “the Bain Brahmin didn’t just fire thousands of working class people in restructuring and in closing companies. He made a fucking unimaginable fortune doing it. That’s the issue.”

(Three cheers for Political Wire for the links.)

Gingrich has been on an absolute tear in his quest to destroy Romney. Here’s another:

Jefferson spoke French. Newt the historian should have known that.

This could be good for Romney.Isn’t being hated by Gingrich sort of like an endorsement. He isn’t very popular so this should backfire bigtime.Future commercials may end with the saying “pick our candidate,Gingrich hates him,so he must be good”.Its all marketing…

Some random thoughts:

This ad has the asinine stupidity and unintended humor of the old
Reefer Madness videos.

Each time I hear the name Newt I think of that old Monty Python quote from The Holy Grail:

Sir Bedevere: What makes you think she’s a witch?
Peasant 3: Well, she turned me into a newt!
Sir Bedevere: A newt?
Peasant 3: [meekly after a long pause] ... I got better.
Crowd: [shouts] Burn her anyway!

Ah, Newt the Grinch, a man who looks into the mirror and sees not a parody of himself but a chameleon with stereoscopic eyes.

Newt is great but there is no way he is wining this time around. He is just too edgy to be elected in the conservative states.

Are there really people who would think badly of somebody because they speak French? Isn’t French taught in most high schools? The morans have managed to shock me, again!
