Samo…did you get to see the video yet? It’s hilarious.

I’m gonna watch it again, just to laugh…

expat in Germany, you’re right. Americans don’t get the ‘human nature’ thing, and for the most part haven’t a clue to domestic or international politics.

We could blame it partially on the poor system of education, but that’s definitely not the only reason.

Onion vying with FOX for “fair and balanced.”  That’s very good!  The difference is that, Onion viewers generally KNOW that what they’re seeing is BS.

Hilarious. Bush as president is a big part of the reason we moved ourselves and our children to Germany (and I have Jewish ancestry). Taxes are very high here, but everyone has access to the same high-quality healthcare… Rules, regulations, and paperwork can be irritating (it takes forever just to properly recycle), but the roads are free of potholes, bike paths abound, and the overall quality of life is excellent. The educational system is outdated and slow to change, but the “average” German knows far more about politics, both domestic and international, than the average American (as evidenced by many late-night comedic interviews). And the only time I ever saw a police car in my neighborhood was when my own son had a bike accident. Perhaps the Germans have figured something out about human nature that many Americans have not.

Onion.  Vying with FOX for the “fair and balanced” venue.
