John Stewart says it’s the “geopolitical equivalent of the fortune cookie [plus] ‘in bed’ ”: U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Zalmay Khalizad (right) trashing Russia’s aggression but limiting comparison to the Iraq invasion by adding a qualifier that tells us we’re talking about someplace that matters to civilized people. Follow-up questions for extra credit: Is Georgia really in Europe? And how many Americans are worried right now the Russians will take Atlanta?

One glance at the headline on their neighbor’s morning paper “RUSSIA INVADES GEORGIA”, must have sent many Americans straight to WalMart to stock up on Dorito’s, pop and ammunition.

They’ve seen Red Dawn and have been waiting, ever since Patrick Swayze called out “WOLVERINES!”

Jon, did the idea occur to you and your writers in your sleep?  Because this is really all it took to show that America is now the laughingstock of the as far as foreign policy is concerned and we have no moral standing in the international community.
The sheer hypocrisy of the last 8 years makes one wonder, are we the American people going to wise up and elect a person who will speak before he shoots?
If not, look out world, because Sen. John McCain, is raring to prove his manhood by starting another conflict.
Thanks Jon, for another insightful and witty commentary on the state of the state.

Good One Jon…as usual.

The hypocrisy is really more than one can properly absorb full on, so the humor buffers it just slightly.

The hangover is still gonna be treacherous though.
