25 Minutes With Robert Scheer and Cynthia McKinney

Posted on Mar 22, 2012
YouTube / Crazycatherder

AIPAC’s political reach, the buildup to what could be a war with Iran and the balkanization of liberal groups in America were among the points Truthdig Editor-in-Chief Robert Scheer and former Rep. Cynthia McKinney touched upon during a talk in Topanga, Calif., recently. —ARK

Ana—- iforget.. Did I provide that link to the WaPo to back up the thing about how
she introduced legislation requiring releasing all records concerning Tupac?

I don’t think it was to back up the story about her punching the security
guard….IIRC, I omitted mention of that one.

I certainly didn’t link to it to focus upon the articel, but merely to from
substantiation of whatever I was talking about.

I was referring to the one of the links to the Washington Post,, provided by heterochromatic, which he asserted had been suppressed.  It contains of collection of items which all good readers of the Post know are ludicrous, because the Post told them so.  Therefore, I suppose, anything whatever McKinney says is Post-certified wrongthink.

Here’s the Post, looking down its patrician, ruling-class nose at the funny people who do not wear good suits and power ties:

‘... In the hallway, the local Green Party boss is waiting, hoping for an audience with McKinney.

“Cynthia’s candidacy has brought some real vibrancy and energy to the party,” says Thano Paris, a 20-something dishwasher and co-chairman of the Green Party in DeKalb County, which McKinney represented in Congress.

Paris, in his beret and army surplus jacket, reveals that his chapter more than doubled since McKinney joined the ticket—from four or five members to 10 or 12. The chapter has $10 in the bank; Paris and pals spent $300 of their own money to promote McKinney’s appearance. ...’

They don’t have any money either.  They wash dishes for a living.

A despicable, class-based hatchet job—as bad as something you might read in the New York Times.

Who is this they that don’t like hatchet jobs? It is not a hatchet job if it is the facts that we
are discussing. The fact of the matter is that the American people, and that means all of
us,have been told an Ocean of lies by our political leaders, our academic leaders , and our
Science leaders.Read the Corruption of Science at There are more things
going on than the mainstream media reports. What are the facts behind the invasion of
Libya? Surely it is not for the sake of bringing democracy to the people of Libya that the
US and it’s NATO allies bombed the country and killed untold thousands? The first official
act by the “freedom fighters” was to set up a Cenral Libyan Bank under the behest of the
World Bank and the IMF? Ghadaffi was funded the African Union to help them set up their
own communication system(satellite ).He was also helping them to institute their own
currency, based on the Gold Dinar which they have an abundance of.If you have not
already read the Secret History of the World,by Laura Knight Jadczyk please read it. And
also if you have time please read Political Ponerology by Dr Andrew M Lobaczewski.
These are very informative books and they get to the untold heart of the matter. This is
submitted in humbleness of heart and with no malice intended or implied.

The Repulican and Democratic parties have been compromised and infiltrated by people
who no longer subscribe to the founding principles of either party. Both parties have been
circumvented by the Coorporate Elite of this country and Europe, along with their
compliant Allies. If patriotism was the real standard by which we are all judged then it
should not be to difficult to see who is the genuine patriot? If the companies that sell their
products to the American people wanted to really help us al they have to do is lower the
prices on their products in the name of Patriotism. How difficult is that to understand.? We
are living in difficult economic times so why can’t the companies(American) that do
business in America lower their prices to help the American people get through these
difficult times? It seems as though patriotism is a One- Way street. Cynthia McKinney is
not the problem here we are the problem, because we fail to call out those who are the
real traitors to this country. If we are coming up short on the analysis of the economic
situation? Where else are we coming up short in our analysis?, Education, Labor,
Politics?Once again McKinney is not the problem the problem is those in the Coorporate
arena who have defiled the meaning of Patriotism and those of us who do not do our
research on any and all given subjects!!

Speaking of Ms. McKinney and her views read somewhere that strangely
enough Ms. Ann Coulter is making similar statements.

But then don’t women usually agree with each other!

One of the great attractions of Truthdig is the wide variety of comments generated by a wide variety of opinion.

The other attraction is the Truthdig set-up emphasizes the bloggers here. We get as much ink space as the folks who write the articles. That is a wonderful feature.

As you can see, my tribute to Truthdig has precious little to do with the articles. Even though i am a conservative i love this place because there is plenty of space, and i mean that figuratively and literally.

Listen to me Truthdig editor. Please listen.  Leftists need to be criticized just as much as conservatives do. Cynthia McKinney can and should withstand the same withering criticism that Truthdig reserves for conservative women such as Sarah Palin. Dont delete posts just because you dont agree with what we say.

One last thing. I’m not upset and I dont think hetero is either. So its all good.

my comment about McKinney talking crazy shit about the Department of
Defense taking 5000 prisoners, executing them and burying them in mass
graves seems to have been disappeared.

who could possibly think that she’s not perfectly sane?

amd who on Truthdig would possibly delete comments about McKinney that are
rather widely reported?

I’ve always respected Scheer but I don’t know why he chose to appear with
“truther” Mckinney and praise her. I find this disappointing. There are many
responsible voices on the left that Scheer could spend his time working with. She
is not one of them.

I’m really disappointed that Robert Scheer would do this event with 911 “truther” Mckinney.
There are plenty of responsible voices on the left with whom Scheer can work. I’m dumbfounded that he has appeared with her and praised her as a person
who “speaks truth” here. I’ve always been a fan of Scheer but today I’ve lost a little respect for him.

hetero, i want you to know that in the Toulouse thread you did better than i ever could. I dont know how to expose Truthdig’s terrorist backers, all i can think to do is get angry at how the Left coddles these people, but you did it expertly by offering their poor misunderstood waif(terrorist) a few hostages he could play with. That was really really well done.    /hat tip

When they keep attacking you via calling you a conservative, (as if thats the worst thing in existance and their radicalism is squeeky clean goodness) i have to confess that i hope you someday get tired of them.

I confess that i hope you will get so fed up with them that you disown the Left and join the ‘dark side’. Would be great to have you.

Oz—McKinney is only slightly insane and in one of her per the iods of lucidity
while serving in the House introduced vital legislation known as “Tupac Shakur
Records Act.” because the public was intensely concerned with knowing everything

On the other hand, there are times when she’s MUCH crazier. like when she said
that the Department of Defense had, following Hurricane Katrina , taken prisoners
who had all been crushed by tanks, shot in the head, painted blue, and dumped
their bodies in a Louisiana swamp.
