Thursday’s mass display of Democratic delight over the newly introduced health care reform mega-measure was countered by the sober declaration, courtesy of House Minority Leader John Boehner, that what we have here is “a bill that really is a government takeover of the health care system.” Sigh.  —KA

The Republican “Plan” is merely a loosely shuffled listing of a few concepts, most of which change the current system very little.  It makes one wonder if Boehner ever actually wrote any legislation.  His “plan” is vagaries.

Laws are NOT generalities. Otherwise the only tax law we would want or need would merely say: “Pay just enough to cover real expenses.”

No wonder the US ended up fighting in Iraq.  W’s “plan” was “Go fight” and the armed forces have been wandering around in the middle east ever since.

I just watched the “60 Minutes” piece on the H1N1 flu vaccine and I hope—no, I trust—that all these bozos—with Boehner leadeing the way—who are so adamantly against government involvement in our health care will forego the vaccine, thereby risking their lives and the lives of their families, so that people who believe that government has a place in protecting us from illness can have first access to the vaccine.

ThomasG,thanks for your concise comments. Another Republican health insurance, not to be confused with health care, mantra; EAT POO AND DIE AMERICANS NO HEALTH CARE IS BETTER THAN GOVERNMENT SPONSORED HEALTH CARE unless you’re a Congress person, or an Israeli for that matter, where U.S. aid money enables Israeli’s to have socialized medical care which includes chocolate lotion massages subsidized by American taxpayers.

Right now, we in America have a privatized takeover of health care that represents Corporatist interests of “Don’t get sick, and if you do die quickly” for the masses of the population of the United States.

It is time for a change from the best health care in the world for the few at the expense of the many to health care for everyone.  If the few, the Corporatists, wish to deny health care for the many, health care should be denied to those few who would deny health care to the many, so that those of the few who would deny health care to the many are more closely connected to the need for health care; if health care is denied to those who would deny health care to others, their denial of health care to others will not last long.

Boner, who enjoys the benefits of the Congress socialized medical care, can’t run fast enough to cancel his government provided insurance, paid for by American taxpayers.

The republican plan is all about allowing cross state line business so the mega-
insurance companies can get bigger and even more powerful! Ah, “free enterprise”
at work…

Further proof that tanning beds are dangerous.  They

There is socialized medical care in all civilized countries except the United States and the medical team never took over the government, but private insurance certainly has.

It is really too easy to tell when he lies. His lips
move.
The Republican plan for health care is easier to
understand since it is one word, NO.
