Left, Right & Center

Well, that public option idea keeps creeping back to the table as Congress debates the health care conundrum, but will it stick around? Does the federal government have the right to limit executive bonuses when taxpayers hold a majority interest in the company? And is President Obama wasting his time by tangling with Fox News? So many questions this week! Robert Scheer, Matt Miller and Arianna Huffington are the usual “Left, Right & Center” suspects on hand for this episode; meanwhile, special guest Mike Gonzalez, vice president of communications for the Heritage Foundation, fills in for a traveling Tony Blankley.  —KA

I agree Kaydude, can’t think of a single parallel
between either Kennedy and Obama. Kennedy was working
against the shadow (or real) government, as it were,
whereas Obama is unabashedly compliant in the
extreme. Not that this will prevent him from being
cashed in and replaced with the next figurehead, as
Micheal correctly states. That I can certainly agree
with. But Kennedy? I can’t imagine any likeness
whatsoever. Micheal, would you be so kind as to
elaborate on their supposed similarities?

Now Hoover certainly fits the bill. Roosevelt, no
chance. Carter definitely (he’s the closest match by
a very wide margin…another CFR out-of-nowhere
insta-prez). Jefferson??? That’s just absurd. Correct
me with examples if I’m wrong Micheal. At least
nobody is lamely comparing him to Lincoln!

Kaydude, yes I was making that inference.  Barack Obama is the incarnation of both Kennedy brothers in one man. You can judge a man by who his enemies are. The same type of men in the same positions who ordered the CIA to take out the Kennedy brothers have already given the same order to remove Obama from the scene.  The next “Manchurian Candidate” has been selected and the chess pieces are being moved into place.

Michael Calder, if your post is about Barack Obama then it is most inappropriate to mention the names of Jefferson, Roosevelt, and John Kennedy. They are likely spinning in their respective graves over your comment. It would instead be more appropriate to use names like Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, and Yasir Arafat, likewise winners of the currently revalued Nobel Price (deliberate) for Peace, and more similarly acclaimed by one and all for their respective levals of “intelligence, courage, and character”.

Some of the News
That may be True

In recognition of Senator Snowe’s immense contribution to health care reform legislation,, President Obama has named her to the new office of National Health Care Director. In a written statement, the President noted the Senator’s long study and deep knowledge of health care issues facing the nation. In addition, her work in the Senate has made the reform bill truly bi-partisan.

White House press spokesman Robert Gibbs denied rumors that appointment to this office was the price demanded for her vote. He noted that it was clear that her strong efforts in support of real reform were made because history had called.

“is President Obama wasting his time by tangling with Fox News?”

But Obama is really wasting the country’s time with this nonsense. His purpose is, undoubtedly, to distract us from the fact that he is not doing much for the country as president. He has proposed little to no specific legislation (leaving it all to Congress). He has kept few to none of his campaign promises and pledges, unemployment is up, neither war is going well—but he has time for golf, shooting hoops, jetting all over on Air Force One, and trying to kneecap a news organization that criticizes him.

The economic elite of the business community have been attacking men of intelligence, courage and character who become president since the beginning of the republic.  Thomas Jefferson, Franklin Roosevelt and John Kennedy come to mind. Today is different.  Today, the economic elite have in their arsenal a national chain of radio stations and a television network to use to prejudice the middle class against it’s own interest. In 1963 and 1968 the economic elite used the CIA to rid themselves of two pests.  The question is will the economic elite again turn to the CIA to rid themslves of a current pest. Don’t think it can’t happen again.
