Muntadhar al-Zaidi’s simple but powerful gesture of lobbing his shoes at then-President George W. Bush brought him international notoriety, praise, scorn and nine months in prison. Now it looks like the Iraqi journalist is nearing the end of his jail time.  —KA

The return to torture tactics is definitely troubling for the nations invested in Iraq’s future, especially since al-Zaidi is drawing attention to the situation - this (http://www.newsy.com/videos/hero_or_troublemaker) shows the controversy he’s stirred up worldwide.

A new American hero is born.

Obama should invite him to the White House and let him sleep in the George Bush bed.

Muntadar al-Zeidi may be the legacy image from the Bush era.
The last thing he deserved was prison time, where I hope he was revered by the
inmates and staff.
I’d pay good money to shake his hand.
Way to go, M al=Z!

This man is my hero - I felt his anger when he threw those shoes, and thought that it was a miscarriage of justice that he had to go to jail!  And on a personal note, where do I send the check to get him 2 more pairs of shoes!

He could make a fortune by opening a shoe store. I’d buy a pair!
