White House Releases Obama’s School SpeechPosted on Sep 7, 2009
With some parents still reluctant to send their children to school Tuesday for fear that President Obama will indoctrinate them with his scary socialist ideals, the White House has attempted to ease the hysteria by releasing the full text of his speech a day early. Now doubters can do a close textual analysis for objectionable content. Of course, that won’t shield the kiddies from the subliminal messages that the Kremlin will feed into the broadcast as the president speaks. —KA Read Obama’s education speech here. Shemp333—-You are a FOOL! Those aren’t my words.
Report thisThey are the words of God in Psalm 14:1, “The FOOL
has said THERE IS NO GOD!” Who do you think created
the micro and macro organisms and inorganic matter
in the universe?

I thought the Pope changed his mind about Harry Potter. But then again, he changed his mind about covering up the sexual activity of Priests.

Hey christian96,
There is no tooth fairy, no easter bunny, and no santa claus. And maybe your mommy didn’t tell you, there is no god. Not one, not ever. It’s alright. We can all go laugh and play now. Now we just gotta tell the muslims there’s no allah, the greeks there’s no Zeus, and the devil worshippers there’s no satan. And that no one is coming to save us; from ourselves.
(and harry potter is fiction too!) So don’t worry yourself!
Sorry, I don’t mean to be mean… just want to be honest and forthright.

Pres. Obama did not improve image with Christians by using
Harry Potter as example.
This is the brief message I just forwarded Rick
Sanchez at CNN. His speech writer must be living
in LaLa land to use Harry Potter as an example.
His image among Christians has already been on the
decline. I would like to think President Obama is
smarter than that.

This is ridiculous,, I mean I had to sit through school and listen to that retarded bad actor Reagan and there were no complaints..(except from me).. Now that we have a cool prez we can’t let our children listen for fear of them being brainwashed. Come on..weren’t we already brainwashed for the previous 8 years. Didn’t we get enough war/fear mongering? Don’t we listen when Osama himself said they don’t want infidels on their holy soil? Wasn’t GWB AT A SCHOOL when planes hit NYC and he was still trying to read. Give me an f’ing break already.

Many Republicans don’t like educated Americans; because an educated person will not buy into these nonsense that are coming out from the mouth of their so called leaders.
Megan Macain could be the next generation of a leader that can bring many of these waste brains to light.
It is sad to hear what are coming out from their mouths, what are still stored in their hearts will amaze many of those who listen to them.
Obama is our president either you like or not; those who are not satisfy can park and go to the south of the border to fight the menance that is destroying our young and beautiful brains at home.

Enough with the race card, this isn’t the 1960s. People that dislike Obama don’t dislike him because of his race, they dislike him because of his policies. Sure, there are probably some people out there that dislike him because of race, but those are the small minority, not the majority of people that dislike him. That’s like saying people that disliked Bush just disliked him because they hate people from Texas.
Overall, I would say more people LIKE the President for a superficial reason like race than dislike him for that reason. (Which is equally as sad to be *for* someone based on race as it is to be *against* someone based on race. Special treatment because of race, regardless if it is postive or negative treatment, is RACISM.)
I’m in my late 20s, I have never in my life seen so much based on race as I have in the last year. And it’s mostly coming from Obama supportors that are playing the race card to attempt to make people feel guilty if they disagree with anything the President says. Sorry, but the race-card guilt trip is FUELING racism, and those who are obsessed with race are taking us backwards.

It is very clear to me that much of the virulent Obama-hatred in this country is fueled by racism and fear of “The Other.” The words used to describe him and his policies (Nazi, socialist, Marxist, communist, and so on) are just beards for the “n” word, which finally (thank heavens) has been (mostly) stricken from even the right-wing nutjob vocabulary.
Report thisBut if you dare suggest that racism might be behind some of the ranting and raving, you are attacked for using the term to suppress free expression. How ironic, coming out of eight years of real suppression, when one could be asked not to board an airplane wearing an anti-Bush tee shirt, when people were arrested at or ejected from “open” rallies featuring Bush or Cheney for carrying signs against the war. We had eight years of being told we could be behind Bush, or behind the “evildoers”—no middle ground allowed, no room for debate or questioning.
So—how do we counteract this deep race-hatred?

Greg, you need to get your head out of the sand and look what BOTH parties are doing. Your statements on what you say the Republicans are doing are fabricated. Voting democrat is voting against God? Where do you get this stuff?!
The Democrats are also guilty of fear mongering, for example, they are telling people they’ll lose everything and die in the streets if they get sick as a way to try to get the health care bill passed. They say if you own a gun, your toddler or another family member will get shot. Etc.
What ever happened to personal responsbility? The government is not your babysitter, too many people fail to realize that. People just want to be told what to do and what to think.
Enough with the “D versus R” war. In case you haven’t realized, both parties are actually very similar, they disagree on some of the stand-out issues, such as healthcare, abortion, and gun rights, but overall they are about the same. (And they are also equally as corrupt.)
As far as Obama’s speech, the parents should have the right to say whether they want to expose their children to it or not. And I would say the same regardless of the political party of the speaker. Or even if it was Miss USA speaking, the parents have the right to say they do or do not want their children to be exposed to something outside of the regular school curriculum.
Report thisI do think that the speech would have been different if there wasn’t such a stink made about it, I beleive Obama probably changed it before releasing the text in an attempt to smooth things over. The original assignment that was suggested “write a letter about what you can do to help the President”, I feel was very out of line.

A speech that centers around personal responsibility? How dare he. Children are supposed to be fat, lazy, stupid, consumer driven pawns, that give in to instant gratification at every possible opportunity.

Well, those darn republicans were right again. That Obama speech, pure brain washing??????
When will the loyal republican base realize that nearly everything the Republican Party does is out of fear?
-They try to scare their members into thinking the president is a Muslim.
-The health care bill is designed to kill old people or make it easier to kill babies.
-They try to convince their members the President Obama want to manage your checking accounts.
-They try to convince their base that voting for a democrat is the same as voting against god.
-They try to convince “sensible” gun policies are just the beginning of the end for gun rights.
And worst of all, they try to link everything to religion. They use god like a cheap tool to scare their people and keep them in line.
Don’t get me wrong, the Democratic parties has plenty of flaws, but using fear and religion to keep the party members in line is not one of them.
Sincerely,
Proud to be and American, but lately embarrassed.
