‘Colbert Report’: Who’s the Jesus-est?Posted on Aug 22, 2009
Boy, Stephen Colbert got a lot accomplished on “The Colbert Report” this past week! He established whose God was best (duh) and why writing an Op-Ed in The New York Times is a clear sign of desperation and defeat (double duh), and he even managed to outdo Rep. Barney Frank in the table-talk department. But with what kind of cracker does Obamargarine go best? Hmmm. —KA Comedy Central:

Some have a richer sense of humor than others. and some can recognizes it better than others. So much for equality among humans. Colbert’s mockery of society, through parody, especially and surreptitiously criticizing the Rightists, even though, cleverly, it often looks as if he is among them. But an attentive ear would show that while not a liberal, he sticks hot pokers in the absurdities that is the Republican propaganda strategies. But he definitely does not pull punches against Dummocrats either.

Spot on stuff and, oh brother, Susan. This “peice” (as you so assuredly mis-spelled it) does not have “canned laughter” - it’s taped in front of a live audience. Hence, you’re an idiot.

Awww, you know I want to say we shouldn’t all pick on the “Colbster” he is just doing what he is paid to do.You know get all the information out there, then just discredit all of it with what he calls “humor”.I so agree with all the posts. He is not what he thinks he is, someone should have told him not to quit his day job. I personally don’t like the man either. I so exactly what Susan does. You almost have to feel like we are all in the Wizard of OZ…“Don’t pay attention to the men behind the screen”.

I don’t listen to Colbert, Fox, CNN or the other junk-news, and MSNBC only to find out what disinformation is being piddled out, then I go to the source to find out what is really going on.

Colbert isn’t as funny as he thinks he is (hence the canned laughter), his development obviously was arrested when he was a young (probably not very popular) adolescent, and he isn’t very intelligent. This whole peice reeks. He is not a journalist OR a comedian, but one of those (so many these days) paid disinformation specialists - basically, up - end the week’s news, bash anyone trying to make sense of it and keep the big mouth running - his type will do anything for money.

Colbert’s unparalleled hyperbole shows the idiocy as he says, of hopping on a
