Gibbs Goes Before a Media Firing Squad

Although news wires buzzed Monday with reports that President Obama had changed his tune when it came to pushing for the government to make a public health care option available to give private insurance companies competition, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs begged to differ during a press conference Tuesday, insisting that Obama said nothing over the weekend that contradicted anything he’d said for months on the matter.  —KA

I almost prefer this puppet when he is overtly arrogant.  Here he is simply lying by omission:
President Obama has also stated that House members will not be allowed to take their summer break until they resolve the healthcare reform bill, strategically taking his own vacation this week to underscore the point - psychological bullying, in my book.
