Sen. Sanders Unfiltered: Wall Street Off the RailsPosted on Aug 10, 2009
In this installment of Brave New Films’ “Senator Sanders Unfiltered,” the independent federal legislator from Vermont points out what’s becoming hard to dispute or ignore, however much other members of Congress might do both: Wall Street, along with the pharmaceutical and insurance industries, practically runs Washington. Ok Tommy, he’s a socialist. Does that negate the truth of what he’s saying? Wall Street whistles, and the Congress bends over, but it’s not just Congress - the American people are bending over and here it comes - WHOA!!!
Now do you feel better? Cause frankly whether he’s a communist, socialist, or independent - he’s telling the truth - a truth which the current crop of big-mouthed liars (Rush, Newt, Boehner, McConnell, McCain, et. al) are unwilling to tell! Let us face it the “average American” has been sold for the interest of the corporate oligarchy - and while they double speak incessantly, the lies are coming from both sides of the aisle! Me, I’m mad as hell, and I’m tired of taking anymore! I’m also willing to stand by my convictions, can you say the same?

I was in a jam, embattled with folks who had the support of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations in 1995. I was accused of quite a few untruths but also of being a Socialist. I said “how can you consider a socialist an enemy, your major trading partners include a majority of socialist countries including the Netherlands, my home.” I continued “There is even a socialist in your congress, Bernie Sanders of Vermont.” Bernie was appraised of my comment and my lawyer told me he choose to side with Strom Thurmond. So I am a little biased. Where is the next real Wellstone, how about a LaFollet?
I wish Bernie all the luck of the Vermonters in rescuing Washington from the moneyed interests. Certainly part of today’s politics includes YouTube speeches. I hope Bernie reaches to the other extreme of American politics and supports Ron Paul’s audit of the Fed. Still real progress against the prostituting of U.S. politics is going to take more than a YouTube speech. Even slowing the advancing corruption may help.

Sen. Sanders, congratulations on your courage, continue speaking truth to the greedy, financial-elite pigs who control Washington D.C. for their own benefit, enough is enough!

Unless we find some way to defeat the overwhelming pork, cheating and headlock THE HEALTH CARE ELITE—the doctors, drug companies and health care providers, via their lobbyists, has—and unless they downscale their earnings expectations and virtual defrauding of the public, seen plainly in overtesting, unnecessary procedures, operations, drugs prescribed, and hidden from the larger public in covert illegal loopholes, tax breaks, sweetheart deals, outright abuse and fraud, no reform in the world will work. WE ARE FACING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE BANKS, THEIR BONUSES AND THEIR RETURN TO THE SAME RISKY BEHAVIOR DRIVEN BY POSTWAR BABY BOOM AND THEREAFTER GREED AND EXCESSIVE EXPECTATIONS. The health care industry will finish off what’s left of us financially, the job the bankers and brokers began. AGAIN, WITHOUT THIS CHANGE OF HEART OR MODUS OPERANDI, OR SOME OTHER METHOD, WHICH IS PROBABLY THE CONTINUATION OF THIS INSANE GREED UNTIL THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN BEYOND REPAIR AND DOWNSCALING IS FORCED BY LARGER ECONOMIC FORCES, MAYBE A DEPRESSION, NO REFORM IN THE WORLD WILL WORK. This site is acting A LOT like corporate media on this one. Mr. Sanders is a socialist. He is registered as a socialist. He is proud he is a socialist. Whay won’t you identify him as such? Just like the party hacks controlling the voting machines, you refuse to give people the truth.
I’m not saying he’s good or bad because of it, but at LEAST TELL PEOPLE!
