Jon Stewart interviews Sally Jenkins, author of “The State of Jones,” about a Mississippi county that seceded from the Confederacy during the Civil War and the ensuing insurrection it led against the Confederate army. My family fought alongside Newton Knight and are still in Jones County today. I grew up hearing about the Free State of Jones, so it’s always nice to hear it lauded.
