The pentagon has brought this on to our soldiers by its own policies of torture and abuse. How can they condemn anyone, right or wrong, they have no legitimacy. Unless they believe that rules only apply to others. The hypocrisy of those in power never ceases to amaze.
I am sorry for the young man, the position his is in, and for his family, who will endure the pain and spectacle, but that does not mean we should not condemn our leaders for their failure to act as citizens of the world.
