There’s a war on guns raging all over the United States ... except in Tennessee. Thanks to American hero/state Sen. Doug Jackson, Tennessee gun owners can now carry concealed weapons into bars to settle their differences over a round of shots. Check out this clip from Wednesday’s “Colbert Report.”

you said the same thing when people were allowed to carry guns in their cars glove box.  you said the street would become a war zone.

it didn’t happen.  but if you want to be fearful, go ahead.

be afraid of guns.  that’s the democrats way to control you, just like the war on terror is the republicans way of controlling you.

Back in my drinking daze..errr..days I spent a week in Montana and was heartened by the laws. I could drive to the bar as fast as I wanted (unlimited speed limits) carry my gun into said establishment and order a drink to go! Get back in my car and race home before the ice would melt. Question Authority!?!

Hey we have a stupid Govenor and Legislature here in
Arizona too. People can carry firearms in bars and
restaurants here too. It will be a hot night in
Phoenix and I don’t mean the weather.

Even more reason not to go in bars but a good way to ‘thin’ out the herd a bit by all those quaint drinking games these guys will come up with as the liquor flows, such as russian roulette with a semi-auto pistol.

And some people think people aren’t intelligent.

I guess that if the people in Tenn want guns in bars, more power to them.  Let’s wait a year or two and check on the rate of death and injury by gunshot.  Injuries may go up more than deaths, since the shooter is probably under the influence. Oh, I forgot they cannot drink if they are packing.  I wonder, does the law require a check for weapons before service.  Maybe Jackson is really a prohibitionist and wants to be able to cite the gun incidents as proof of the evil of drink.
