Denneys got their start about the same time as the demise of Sambos and they acquired many of the Sambo buildings.
Years ago (In the seventies) I thought that Sambos had just changed their name to Denneys, but I know better now.
Some Denneys are fine others, not so fine…..

In the mid 80s, A German raised Californian educational psychologist told me “this country is going to be in very deep trouble the way they are cutting back on education”. She walked around with the keys to 12 juvenile detention centers in the L.A. area.
