How can anyone say with pride that they are an American while Cheney,Bush, and numerous others from both parties continue to escape accountabilty for crimes against the constitution and humanity. I voted for Obama but regret doing so in light of his stance on investigating & prosecuting those responsible for the atrocities commited in our name. We flatter ourselves in believing in America’s exceptionality while ignoring those “lesser”  countries who have taken former corrupt & criminal leaders to task for their crimes. If the US had somehow lost a war all that has happened in the last seven years would have resulted in many of our former politcal leaders standing trial in a latter day Nuremberg setting.

What, really, can be said that hasn’t been said?  This is Dick Cheney, after all, the man who, during the Vice-presidential Candidate Debates before the Bush-Kerry election looked straight into the camera and, with an absolutely straight you’ve got-to-take-this-seriously face, lied his ass off to the American people.  And did it so well that, it was convincing even to those of us (which was a LOT of us by then) who KNEW he was lying his ass off.

The man looks so thoughtful, so wise, so serious, has so much sheer presence… he’s just so damn CONVINCING!

Facts do not MATTER to Dick Cheney.  Dick Cheney creates HIS OWN facts, his own REALITY, and sits there and talks in his no-nonsense way and makes it perfectly clear that down is up and the Martians may be invading at any moment and we must protect ourselves and anybody who doesn’t see this is obviously insane and should be locked up before they hurt somebody AND PEOPLE BELIEVE HIM!

The man is, frankly, amazing.
