Stephen Colbert talks about Supreme Court nominee and “reverse racist” Sonia Sotomayor, who is trampling on the heroic life stories of the white male—many of whom are now asking their gardeners what their first names are. Check out this clip from last night’s “Colbert Report.”

If Waterboarding was not torture- Pelosi did nothing wrong (and then neither did any one else). But if you are pointing a finger at Pelosi for failing to block these tortureous methods than you are confessing to condoning torture yourselves, and having been the ones who ultimately controlled the decision. Thus only indicting yourselves along with the minor part Pelosi played.

It is very simple: water boarding is wrong, and those who uphold it deserve to be put to trial. I think justice demands that Pelosi and Cheney be put in jail along with many bad actors. I am not attached to party. There’s just right and wrong.

I think a judge should decide a case on the basis of constitutional law, and a deep sense of the individual’s rights. It is no matter what the judge’s ethnic group. If ethnicity is the focus, and not the law then no one is safe from partial government. I would say this under a Republican or a Democratic government. If it is wrong for Rehnquist appeal to tribalism, then it is just as wrong for Santomayor to make the same appeal. This retroactive justice of installing a biased judge to counterweight the appointment an earlier biased judge does nothing but promote division.

During former chief justice Rehnquist’s confirmation hearings it was revealed that he had taken part in
attempts to prevent Blacks from voting in
national elections in Phoenix during the 50’s and 60’s.  I don’t remember any democratic senators suggesting that he ought to apologize.  He sailed through the hearings and was confirmed by the senate.    Nothing wrong with having a chief justice who conspires to violate the civil rights of American citizens, but let a minority female nominee to the court say that she has a better understanding of minority issues that white men do, and she must apologize to the nation on bended knee.

“Would Hope” the Real Operative phrase in that statment. Not to mention the entire context of the speech and the entire speech itself.
Once again Repugs have proven they have too short of an attention span or limited intellect to comprehend anything over 2 1/2 pages and not written in Day Glo crayon.
Repugs dismise and fear intellegent women- reason they can only lure in mental defects like Bachmann and the Bubble headed bleach blondes on FOX ‘news’.
No doubt Both Rush and BillO have to pay their ‘dates’ upfront. You can almost smell the fear of Rush coming through his golden phallic symbol mic. And BillO’s archiac fears of blood thirsty Consort Witches to Satan is unmistakable “if you want to kill your baby just pay Dr. Tiller $5,000”. Yes BillO We lure those poor innocent men in to get pregnant so we can sacrific the unborns blood into our Cauldron to assure eternal youth. No surprise that these two are the head masters the Party of Circle jerks.Does Beck and Hannity play ‘hand maidens’ with the KY gel?
the Repugs have tipped their hand as to their hatred and Fear of Women. Why is it they conveniently forget the males who sat in on those CIA ‘Briefings’? Funny they didn’t come up with a snappy ‘007’ reference for them, just the obvious ‘Pussy Galore’ Reference. Not one ‘Gold Finger’ Reference for any of the males on the Intellegence committee. Nope just one of the low ranking female in the minority party.
heres a lil’ hint you ignorant Sluts….If Waterboarding was not torture- Pelosi did nothing wrong (and then neither did any one else). But if you are pointing a finger at Pelosi for failing to block these tortureous methods than you are confessing to condoning torture yourselves, and having been the ones who ultimately controlled the decision. Thus only indicting yourselves along with the minor part Pelosi played.
So it seems to me that Sotomayors misconstured Statement actually rings true…Perhaps a Latina (or any other woman) Would have made a better decision about ‘enhanced interrogation’ techniques- or at least not implicated themselves in the attempt to deflect responsiblity. Repugs can’t logic their way out of a wet paper bag with a pocket knife in their hand. How much Lead paint did these boys lick as children?

Rush Limbaugh called Sonia Sotomayor a “reverse racist.”  I’m waiting for him to call Michael Moore an “overweight loudmouth.”
