Aw common Mubarak. With all the nails that have been hammered in the coffin of Western Civilization by now you’d be rich if you were the owner of the Tru-Value hardware store they were bought from.
That there are no “straight parades” is because “straights” are not a marginalized minority that feels it has to have something to increase their visibility and have their concerns heard if not met. It is the same reason why Black folks have Kawanza and Black history month. There is no need to have such mechanisms if yours is the dominant discourse in society.
Think Eminem will switch to a new moniker now that he has had an up close and personal encounter with Bruno’s “Hodensack” lol? After all we do know the knock on M & Ms, or is it Eminems,; “they melt in your . . . ” well we all know the rest.
Hilarious for such a “vacuous awards show”. Too bad there are not more moments like this on TV. One can learn from laughter.

Abu, you need to put down whatever holy book you are reading, it was written by men thousands of years ago with ancient prejudices. If you look at nature, homosexuality is and always will be a part of life. Why not strive for understanding, instead of stewing in your own hatred.

Eminem’s reaction didn’t seem staged to me.

MTV represents the complete degradation, deterioration, and commercialization of the arts. Why does Truthdig think this staged stunt on a vacuous awards show on the most vacuous of channels is newsworthy in any way?
