Four years ago, Lawrence Cann, a former nationally ranked college soccer player, founded Street Soccer USA, an organization that empowers the homeless by giving them both a new perspective on the way they see themselves and a welcome break from daily problems. In this clip, a Street Soccer squad from New York faces off with a rival team of white-collar workers—and there’s a lot more at stake than just winning or losing. Ah! THIS was worth reading and watching. It gives me some hope. We need something like this in so many places.
