The Beer Doctor——Don’t blame Jesus for what people
have done and continue to do in his name(Jim Jones,
David Kuresch(spelling), etc. are just a few of
modern examples.  When his disciples ask him on the
Mount of Olives to tell them the signs preceeding his
second coming, the first words out of his mouth were
“Beware of false teachers.”  There are plenty of them
out there especially on TV where they can mislead
millions.  Albert Einstein, probably the most intelligent scientist during the 20th century, said
in a book “Ideas and Opinions” that if we would remove the ideas from the teachings of Jesus which
have been added over the centuries, we would have
teachings which would lay the foundation for world
peace(love, forgiveness, honesty, gentleness, kindness, etc.)

re: ShawnK

ShawnK points out the need for a separation of church and state that President Obama does not adhere to. The President of the United States is not a religious office, despite the fact that he can call in an airstrike (as par for the course in the Afghan-Pakistan region) and take away some lives, or in the case of the nuclear option, all lives. So having the ability to destroy life makes him feel God like?
The religious folks refuse to admit this, but organized religion is one of the greatest disasters in the history of human civilization. Funny thing, their professed belief in God has nothing to do with actual personal human spiritual awareness. Religions try to force everyone to accept their stupid misinformed, self imposed miseries. You know the old saying: misery loves company.

christian96…
even if everything you say is correct, judaism is equally as worthless and fictitious as christianity. another set of arbitrary traditions people continue to follow at everyone’s detriment. what my question is, is why publicly acknowledge and encourage the religions of christianity and judaism as the president, while not mentioning a word about islam. congratulate the two things the muslim world hates most while we have tensions at an all time high with the muslim world and some islamic states.

when will we see a government that recognizes no religion at all?

Either President Obama is ignorant or being deceptive
as a politician.  Perhaps, both!  The word Easter
appears only once in the Bible and was wrongly translated.  The word should have been Passover.
It should be Passover that Christians are celebrating
and would be if they hadn’t been misled by their
Sheperds.  Their Shepherds also brought about the
tradition of Good Friday.  Jesus said, like Jonah,
he would be in the tomb three days and three nights.
You don’t have to be to far along in your educational
development to realize that you can’t get 3 days and
nights in between Friday and Sunday.  Passover is
known as a High Sabbabth which was unknown to the
shepherds who thought Sabbath meant Friday night
to Saturday night.  Jesus ate his last supper with
his loved ones on Wednesday night and was crucified
on Thurday(Passover).  Why this has never been corrected by those intellectuals in seminarys, I have
no idea.  I can tell you that it hasn’t been corrected by TV evangelists because their money supply would quickly dry up.  There will come a day
when all Jewish Festivals will be kept by Christians.
Zechariah 14:16 tells us that people from all nations that fought against Jerusalem will come to
Jerusalem year after year to worship Jesus and to
KEEP THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES!  Would someone please
educate President Obama?

Dear Mr. President,

In order to form a perfect union, I propose a Patriotic retirement:

There are about 40 million people over 50 years old in the work force; pay them $1 million apiece severance with five stipulations:

1) They leave their jobs immediately. Forty million new job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They buy new American cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.

3) They buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.

4) They invest half the remainder in a local bank - Banking Crisis fixed.

5) They invest the other half in mutual funds - Wall Street fixed.

There, US Economy repaired and a more perfect union established. Return The People’s money to the people.

What is up with Barry? Does he want to be POTUS or a Rabbi or a Pastor, or all three? Proof that he does not believe in the separation of religion and government. His baloney is starting to cut very thin.
