Left, Right & Center

The economy’s not the only thing that “Left, Right & Center” co-conspirators Matt Miller, Tony Blankley and Robert Scheer are thinking about this week (no doubt Arianna Huffington is too, but she’s away), but it’s a biggie again, as are the Obama administration’s announcement about defense spending and the changes under way in American foreign policy. Also: Somali pirates!

I don’t know if I want to be included with these other rather looney comments, but I do want to commend Mr. Scheer for once again standing up for the principles he believes in.  It seems like we are moving on away from the homeowners and their plght now that Obama has presented his program.  The truth is, his program doesn’t really help those most in the need of help.  So much more is going to the banks than to the homeowners who are in the most jeopardy and the crux of the credit crisis.  I think there must be something hidden about the financial crisis that makes Obama take the actions he has taken and surround himself with the same men who were at the root of the crisis.  Don’t know what it is, but I hope Mr. Scheer can dig it out.  As for myself I should be benefiting from the legal settlement worked out with 11 State Attorney Generals with Countrywide and Bank of America in respose to predatory lending.  My principal has increases by $40,000 in the past three years with no chance to refinance.  Yet, I have been told that the promises of the settlement are empty, that CW has no intention of reducing principal as the settlement stipulates, that, as officials in the Greenlining Organization attest, the settlement has no teeth.  So I guess Jerry Brown of California and other AGs from other states are merely makiing political capital when they say they have won a victory against predatory lenders.  This bogus settlement in another aspect of the Housing/Financial Crisis that Mr. Scheer should dig into to find the truth.

Gee Willikers…..folks!  Where’s the rebuttal…?  Is my assertion an undeniable truth…?

Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
Come on, now,
I hear you’re feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain
Get you on your feet again.
Relax.
I’ll need some information first.
Just the basic facts.
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship, smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can’t hear what you’re saying.”

Are we all “comfortably” numb….

Just asking, my friends… just asking.  So, are you “comfortably numb”?

Re: Paracelsus

Since it is not OBVIOUSLY apparent…. is your comment satirical…?

Re: Matt Miller

My determination has to do the the moving of the “goal posts”, so to speak.  Since your stance is that this is “left, right, and center”, why is it “Scheer” is “left”?  Is Blakely “right”?  Additionally, are You, “center”? or is Arianna Huffington…“center”?  Upon WHAT SCALE have you come to this determination….?

I see the political spectrum as a circle, in other words…. communism and fascism at the CENTER BOTTOM of the circle.  Or more concretely as two succinct types of totalitarianism barely distinguishable from the other in their rapacious reality.

To consider “my” circle then, a straight line across the horizontal would be to imagine the upper portion to be the POPULIST (or “center”) portion.  Ideologies outside of the upper portion, left or right would constitute a descension towards EXTREMISM, left or right.

In this scenario, Scheer does NOT represent a communist perspective (or even a descension “over the center-line” toward it) however, Blakely does present an extremist perspective.  One which I aver, does represent fascism, and an unapologetic protectionist ideology of the extreme right (at least in a political sense).

My premise then is this:  If Blakely represents a version of “right” how is it Scheer represents “left” if his ideology is not communistic?

Are we again comparing apples to oranges….?  To challenge your assumption of “left, right and center”, can you “lay it on the line” so to speak.

What is “left”?  What is “right”?  And where the HELL is “center” according to YOUR supposition?

My summation is that the goal posts have been moved so that we are now being asked/required to accept the “center” as that point of the horizontal dividing line descending toward rightist extremism AS “center”, and the “left” as highpoint center of the circle.

Neither of which are valid FACTUALLY as a political premise.

Those Somali pirates have big brass ones. They are unfluoridated, bereft of Prussian schooling, wild men. Imagine what we would like be like without unadulterated food and water. These undomesticated cromagnon unfamiliarus eat tough stringy goat meat, and have the teeth of goats. Chances are not a one has he-boobies. Talk about breaking bad.

As for merchant shipping, they should be allowed cannon and automatic assault rifles. The rules against weapons on board is airy fairy idiocy. Anyone who ships with unarmed crews deserves to have his ass handed to him.
