If you don’t understand it, you’re too old!
I’m half-a-century old, but I can see the underlying theme. It’s an oldster’s version (the stodgy principal behind the lectern) of what he thinks might be hip—80’s “Flashdance” stuff and breakdancing that’s two generations removed from what’s cool. That’s why the kids are flashing the bored looks—even with a dancing ding-dong!
Older peole aren’t supposed to understand messages directed at kids. That’s part of what makes it cool to them; that it’s beyond us.

Well, if this is an old commercial, I guess I missed it before. I think it’s great. In fact, better than Oprah’s presentation of Dr. Laura.
Maybe I’m just strange, but I swear I thought this was hilarious, which means that it does get the point across.

What an embarrassing mess!
Somebody in the advertising agency is one hell of a salesperson to put this over on the clients.
Pull it! (pun intended)
