Maddow and Letterman

MSNBC’s resident smartypants, Rachel Maddow, paid a visit to “Late Night With David Letterman” on Monday to guesstimate the size of Keith Olbermann’s coconut, describe her rise to the heights of punditry and opine about how Wall Street is like a bumper-car ring.

Re:Bud,March at 10:53 am.

Bud,

I could not agree with you more. I am fond of both Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow, leaning slightly more toward Keith. Perhaps because I have been watching his “COUNTDOWN” much longer than “RACHEL MADDOW SHOW” which has started less than a year ago. Rachel has done an outstanding job,so far.I wish her more succeess.

Although different in style, the honesty and the way Keith Olberman calling a SPADE A SPADE,in his show, reminds me of Eric Sevareid who was,in an early stage of his career as a journalist, part of Edward R. Murrow’s outstanding team. Those were the great giants in American journalism, indeed.

University of Minesota has done the right and noble thing when it established a special library in journalism, named Eric Sevareied Library, honoring him, since he was one of its graduates from its School of Journalism.

Eric died in the 1990s.I cannot remember the exact year. I loved listening to his political analysis of the political events of the time. He was so honest and so impressive to the point of compelling me to wonder whether or not I was watching and listening to a pleasant reality on TV or just delusion. It was not delusion. It was reality.

Perhaps,Keith Olbermann will also be honored, someday,by a university’s School of Journalism in establishing a special library in journalism in his name, for his honest and straightforward political analysis,in a similar manner as University of Minesota has nobly done for Eric Savereid.WHO KNOWS?

Keith Olbermann is one of the few remaining voices to speak out against radical righr wing extremism.  in some ways I equate him with Edward R. Murrow. The reason he has a big head is to hold that massive brain of his.Olbermann ROCKS!!

He only talks about Keith’s head! Rachel Maddow is 10000000 times smarter than him, he was right about that. And she is much nicer to her guests. Yuk! I think Letterman is so rude.
