Left, Right & Center

Once again, the economy is front and center on “Left, Right & Center”—and with good reason. Bernie Madoff’s gone to jail, but the fallout continues in the wake of his company’s implosion; Jon Stewart has given Jim Cramer quite the televised talking-to; and there’s good reason to believe the American people still aren’t hearing the full story about how their financial and political leaders got them into this mess.

Informative discussion. Scheer’s opening comment about China was particularly amusing. Indeed, it is rather ironic that one of the world’s greatest capitalistic economies is depending upon China to save it. So much for Reagan and his revolution. Also, I note in today’s NYT that AIG has provided a partial list of its recipients so Tony may be finally getting off the hook on this one.

Bob is once again on-point and courageous. Arianna is right about having to keep the drum beat going even if we are sounding like “a broken clock” or even a broken record for that matter.
And Tony offers very little substance other than his irritation that this is all about victims and villains, well guess what dude, it is all about victims and villains and you are defensive because your entire social, economic and political DNA is derived from the villains of today.
Anyway, lets keep the pressure up, Geitner, Bernake (sp) seem weak or corrupt.
