Blagojevich

A confession: We’ve been avoiding the news about embattled Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, whose impeachment trial begins Monday. There are too many storm clouds on the horizon to waste time on this man’s circus. But we couldn’t help but pause to marvel at the chutzpah of the governor, who dropped this bombshell on Sunday.

Don’t feel too bad TruthDig, you managed the first hurdle, sticking to common sense, then the next, recalling duty and purpose, but the trite and sensational story the others cannot resist is known to take down even the very best.

Gandhi, MLK and Mandela, I just don’t see it. Maybe it’s just me but I was thinking Moe Howard. It’s the hair helmet for sure. I know, that’s hugely insulting to Moe Howard. My bad Moe where ever you are. Check it out folks.

I love Ill. Gov. Rod.  He is the naked epitome of present day politicians.  He is taking pop politics to an all new level.  All over morning television with shameless abandon.  Isn’t this what politics is all about anyway?  Will he be able to evoke public sympathy simply out of his boyish charm and feigned victimization?  His numbers are probably starting to turn around already… at least until the late night comics get through with him in a few hours.  Boy are they certainly grateful Blago fans since the Biden jokes aren’t playing that well and G.W.‘s not around anymore to provide fruitful funny fodder.

Too bad you’re not Republican, Rod, or you could count on a job with FOX zoos for sure after you lose yours.

In all honesty Blagojevich did not compare himself to Mandela, et al.  The implication was that when he reflected on the problems they faced it put his own into perspective.

That said, he’s a terrible Governor, grandiose and narcissistic and deservedly disliked.

As of now, this man has by definition the biggest set of big brass balls ever imaginable.
To compare himself with the likes of those luminaries, Mohandas K. Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. is beyond the imagination.
Soon-to-be Former, Gov. Rod Blagojevich, is the most obnoxious and arrogant person to have ever graced the political scene since George Wallace. I find it hard to believe that the people of Illinois ever freely elected him as the governor of their fine state.
Should there ever come a time that another person such as this chooses to run for political office in the state of Illinois, my hope for them is that they would investigate the person’s background and follow their intuition and not vote a person like this into office.  He, soon-to-be former, Gov. Rod Blagojevich,
has brought disgrace to the office, sold his soul for
30 pieces of silver and tried to sell a Senate seat.
Like I said, the biggest set of brass balls imaginable.
