Outraged by the Rev. Joseph Lowery’s benediction at Barack Obama’s inauguration, Glenn Beck is calling a post-racial foul. “Even at the inauguration of a black president, it seems white America is being called racist,” Beck whined after Lowrey suggested that “white will embrace what’s right.”

Beck, renowned conservative imbecile, also uttered the gem “and we’re perfectly fine with brown sticking around.” Thanks, Glenn.

Beck is a nutjob, another supposed ex-alcoholic (untreated, bascialy) who is “high on his god”, rather than alcohol now. (Sound like anyone we know?)

I wont even bother to watch the video—its uses too much RAM and slows my pc way down—-I surfed past him a couple times on CNN HN—I dont need to know more.

The words of Pastor Lowery were those of Big Bill Broonzy, a song (and it sounds alot better as a song) Here it is:

FOX is the No.1 news channel?? I find that very hard to believe. I think it is still CNN, as far as msm goes…

People, why are you so concerned about what the controlled media has to say about anything. We are all here at Truthdig doing just that right, looking for the truth. And well said Leisure suit Larry we should all listen this man advice. And most of all to elizabethe, perfectly said my darling and I also voted for Ralph. Lets all remember in 1992 when Mr. Perot won 19 percent of the vote. After that election they created rules, the commission on the presidential debates to make sure that never happened again. Perot was allowed to debate with the two parties. Ralph would have ate them alive.

Chicken Little routines use fear to conjure votes.  The sky, must always be falling. Real thought would require more resources than what is available.

Claiming to love America, all the while promoting racisim and bigotry is what the Becks, Limbaughs, O’Reillys and some in the very halls of Congress feed on. They are not Americans at all. They are Nazis, Skinheads and White Supremacist in suits is all. Their ideology is corupt and disgracefull and should be exposed at every opportunity.

If Beck, Limbaugh and the other conservatives are not guilty in their own hearts of being bigoted towards other races; then they have no reason to take offense at the words of Rev. Lowery.  I am white and heard nothing wrong in the Rev.‘s remarks, they were simply a small attempt at humor during a serious moment in our history.  Given Rev. Lowery’s personal history of struggle, surely we as a nation can cut him a little slack to try and make a joke.  If it’s not funny to everyone, so be it.  Humor works that way.
If this is the biggest issue conservatives have to run with, then it’s further evidence that they are incapable of paying attention to the serious problems our nation faces.  Ignoring them is probably the best strategy when so much else is worth spending time on.  Thankfully I don’t have cable news TV like CNN, FOX, and MSNBC to waste time cursing about issues that are such drivel.

Be careful folks; There are those out there who would like nothing better than a race war to distract us from the job of jailing criminal bankers. If Glen Beck didn’t exist, some wealthy slob would pay to have him created.

We need (as people not government) to X-out the small issues, the issues which can wait in favor of the big stuff like having enough food to feed the population, getting people back to (USEFUL) work, and shaking hands with our neighbors (Canada, Cuba, Mexico, and Russia come to mind.

The real question here is why the so-called media are still interested in what this ilk have to say. Haven’t we heard enough of these inane commentators? Is it important to know what Glen or Rush think of President Obama? Why is it that every time I write Obama, the stupid spell checker underlines it in red?
For the pompous, money loaded bastards who ran rough shod over the interests of the American people, I say, do not let the door smack you in your ass.

The ol’ “do as I say and not as I do” crowd crying again!

Glen Beck is a crybaby toyboy for the “foot tapping” racist, rich, criminal, homophobic, women-hating prudes.  Which translates as…. basically, not like the rest of us.  Which is wonderful, if for no other reason than most Americans are NOTHING like him.

Beck had to dig deep to find something, in this case the reverend’s words, that would allow him to continue his Fox hate talk.  If it hadn’t been for that speech, Beck would have found words from another speech to keep the hate talk going.  Clever trick, but only about 20% of the population is buying into this crap anymore.  That’s not enough to win elections.  GOP, R.I.P.

BECK is a HUMORLESS TOAD!  I am glad I do not waste my time with Fox News.

As a 55 year old white male American (last ancestor came at least 150 years ago) I loved the Reverend’s rhyming prayer.  I thought it clever and sweet.

It simply reflected the fact that until July 1964, there was no federal law prohibiting racial (or skin-color) discrimination in housing, jobs and most other areas of life.  There are many alive who suffered blatant discrimination.  Others have not accepted the change in the law.

For Beck to take offense, well. . .  “[t]he [man] doth protest too much, methinks.”

the poet and novelist richard brautigan referred to a certain lowlife shitheel as someone who would “sell a rat’s asshole to a blindman for a wedding ring”. not to asperse so well-rounded a character by comparison with the puling, lying, disembling emotional eunuch glen beck, but beck does make father coughlin look like the dalai lama. joseph lowery is unassailable to lowlife radio outriders and paid flacks. joseph lowery is as moses to the sexless, simpering beck. i have always dismissed beck as a fool. i see now i have given him entirely too much credit.

If you care about race and proper equality do follow MLK’s advice and look ONLY at character and be “color blind”.  There is no basis for looking at skin color when character is what is at issue.  Skin color tells nothing about character!

idiots think it does.

We are looking at a candidate who managed to get elected by a majority vote, but he is not WHO they voted for.  They voted for a media forced result, and they knew they were voting for a YOU HAVE ONLY ONE INCUMBENT AS YOUR ONLY VALID CHOICE IN A PHONY BUT TRUE BY MEDIA RULE IN AMERICA AS CORPORATE CORRUPT POLITICS-“Democrats” are liars but supposed to be good guys.

Lood at character.  There were SIX and the change due is not shown in Obama’s agenda.  He is not seeking to fix the budget or cut taxes, he lies as did Bush, both George W. and Papa Bush.  Cut taxes isn’t what is needed, holding up a budget in the black is what is urgently needed for a budget ON TRACK to allow American’s to have their earned money to have two results, one take home pay to pay living expenses, and taxes for GOOD BENEFICIAL GOVERNMENT, not red ink for unwanted trillions in debt and increases already asked for by Obama, and should not be granted.

He is sleeze politics and lies up front while telling you what he actually will do, but covering it up with lies of “hope, peace, and change” but notice he has not failed to use nasty mentality to coerce the red ink that cannot sustain anything, neither peace nor prosperity, it will increase DANGER and the RED FLAG of warning should be flaring in any sane persons’ face.

Skin color has NOTHING TO DO WITH OBAMA.

It is possible he deserves a racial epithet, but I will refrain and accuse him of who I see, CORRUPT POLITICS and COWARDICE which is NOT SAFETY, he is DAMAGE seen in advance.  I voted for Nader, and restoring the budget on track and peace policy as proper humane law and order.

I have asked my Governor to ask the Secretary of State’s office to review the railroaded election, and the possible success of overcoming the media corrupt political result and netting honest politics REQUIRED by the PEOPLE and the STATES. The Tenth Amendment can be invoked for the people to seize the power to demand honest contest and truth to vote for a real President and a nation on track.

Ask and ye may receive, if People DO IT it can be done.  It requires action.  50 STATES would net success nationally.  A SIX way race where Obama would have to face Nader and the Green Party and Barr, and Baldwin.  Who wouldn’t say we were supposed to have had that national voting success for truth?  (Only the media!)

After the widespread criminality and immorality of the Bush Administration and friends, I think the Reverend was justified in making the comment “white will embrace what’s right.” We had that coming. It has nothing to do with racism.

The Bushes tried to corrupt our own Justice Department, and did. And what about torture? Immorality was rampart in our Republican (white) controlled country.

So embrace what’s right you old rich white-man controlled America. Besides, there’s a new sheriff in town.

Let’s remember…

The opposite of love isn’t hate; it’s indifference.

Accordingly, the best way to deal with bottom-feeding @ssholes like Glenn Beck is to ignore them. Every time we respond to one of his hyped-up rants we underscore that what he says matters.

Let right-wing zealots pay attention. Nothing we say will make any difference to them, anyway, so our best answer is none at all. We just don’t care.

Racial politics on both sides of the color divide were dealt a serious blow by the Obama election. His election is a game changer.

Unfortunately, old habits die hard.

In knee jerk fashion Beck and Lowery are hurling the verbal bombs that served them well in the past, i.e. appealed to their core constituencies.

Lowery’s perspective was formed by real world experience with racial hate. Still, incredibly he seems to ignore the significance the Obama election had on the issue of race here in the U.S.

Beck panders to fearful conservatives who find themselves on the outs for the first time in years. Outrage over reverse discriminatory statements by the Rev. Lowery was a “gimme” for old Glenn.

Beck and Lowery are both dinosaurs doomed to extinction. They just don’t know it yet.

Glenn is either a complete bona fide moron or a modern Faust who has sold his soul to appeal to all the worst impulses of society.  His “program”, in spite of a new setting, continues to be irrational ranting about every topic that might evoke conservative ire.  Recently he invited two “experts” to describe the so-called foundational history of “progressives” (Both were pushing recently-published books).  One of the pair claimed that modern liberals, and Hillary and Barack specifically, have grown out of a common thread - namely, communist sympathizers and former communist party members.
Glenn should draw as much intelligent conversation as how many angels can sit on the head of a pin.
