Left, Right & Center

Ready or not, here comes Barack Obama—let’s hope he’s ready, considering the nature of the action items topping his presidential to-do list. This week, the “Left, Right & Center” crew (minus one Ms. Huffington) sizes up the latest installment in the bank bailout saga, takes stock of George W. Bush’s legacy and weighs in about Gaza.

Re: Tony Blankley,
Please tell me, your comment: “A lot of smart people seems to think so” is rhetorical.  Which “smart” people and how many is a lot?  Wow?

Thank you again Robert Scheer for iterating these numbers/facts for all of us.

This is NO SMALL MATTER, irregardless of Blankley’s sordid comedic ass-kissing.

For perspective, let’s review; $300,000,000(6 zeros) of lobbying funds BUYS these CROOKS, Citibank $45,000,000,000(9 zeros) but guarantees an additional $306,000,000,000(9 zeros), Bank of America $45,000,000,000(9 zeros) AND guarantees them $118,000,000,000(9 zeros) to cover toxic assets, plus the $130,000,000,000(9 zeros) given to AIG.

I can add.  So….

$45,000,000,000
$306,000,000,000
$45,000,000,000
$118,000,000,000
$130,000,000,000
————————
$644,000,000,000 (yes, that’s BILLIONS) for the low, low, low ante of $300,000,000 (that’s millions).  Unless my calculator is off, that’s 2,146 TIMES the amount they “ante upped”.  Can anyone say, CRIMINAL,,,SCAMMED,,,LIE, CHEAT, STEAL…?

As taxpayers toil, sweat and grovel to accommodate themselves with the necessities of housing, food and medical care, these “guys” walk.  Nauseatingly, Mr. Blankley finds this humorous.  I guess there’s no accounting for tastelessness, is there….

I would like to see an investigation of Bush and Chaney. Doesn’t mean anyone needs to be prosecuted but I would like to see the secrets all laid out..
