Team Bush: Hamas Must Stop Attacks on IsraelPosted on Dec 29, 2008
As the current Israeli-Palestinian clash reached the three-day mark with no sign of resolution, President Bush weighed in on the crisis via a spokesperson at “the Western White House” in Crawford, Texas. Stephen Zunes, (brilliant author that he is) puts all of the supporting details onto my claim that Hamas is a product of Israel. But he goes further in unveiling the role of the US in this creation, even BEFORE the Cheney regime took power. Of course it became even worse after the Thugs did their coup here in 2001, and we’ve been in free fall ever since, with the Palestinians suffering even more than they had previously, even under the corrupt (and still illegitimate) leadership of the PLO. Team Bush put the final nails in their coffins.
A lengthy read, but oh so valuable for anyone who really DOES wanna know the truth.

America’s Hidden Role in Hamas’s Rise to Power
By Stephen Zunes, AlterNet. Posted January 3, 2009.
No one in the mainstream media or government is willing to acknowledge America’s sordid role interfering in Palestinian politics.

In the midst of Israeli airial bombardments and Gazans rocket retaliation, we tend to forget that Gaza is under occupation by Israel. This fact seems to be deminished under the current threat of Israeli possible incursion into Gaza.Regardless of what the White-House may say or do, the fact remains that resistnce of an occupation is a sacred right guarenteed by international law and recognized by all civilzed nations on earth. If the US administration is denying the Gazans of their right to resist the occupation, then a great deal of American history should be rewritten to attest to the fact that American resistance to the Brits was but acts of terrorism against humanity.

“As soon as they stop committing acts of war and terrorism against Israel, military action against Hamas will almost certainly stop, despite the fact Israel is justified in carrying this much farther than they have already.”

Oh PLEASE!!! This is why you whimps never register. You wouldn’t dare say this incredibly stupid stuff if it could be tracked to you. As if George Bush being a moron had anything to do with this, and as if there had EVER been a time when Israel wasn’t engaged in the all out slaughter of an entire group of people.
I am so thoroughly sick of you people claiming that Israel would ever stop it’s persecution if “Hamas” stopped doing whatever they are doing. What excuse did you all use before 1987, before Hamas even existed?
You say as soon as “They” stop committing ‘acts of terrorism’ against ISRAEL? Give me a fucking break! Give us ALL a break. Hamas is a CREATION of Israel, that only came about as a defense against their 60-year old genocide of the Palestinian people.
The only ‘terrorists’ in the Middle East are Israel and the US. So the ‘solution’ is to halt ALL US aid to Israel, and help them finish building that wall around THEMSELVES, and put a roof on it, and seal off all of the area outside, and the Israelis IN.
That’s the solution. They’ll be safe and secure that way, and the rest of the world can live in peace.

Nothing was ever solved by war. War only begets more war. This translates to extermination of world’s population. Such is the plan of Rome and it’s still present empire.
If leaders and secret societies want war then let ‘them’ go fight it.
To bring the world to peace and prosperity you must organize farmers, common people and most everyday human beings. Create separate equal and respectful currency. Close all banks and freeloading rich. Make respect, knowledge and self improvement more worthy over any religion. Share with your neighbors and eliminate greed.
You are a sovereign human being, act like it.
Disassemble the industrial military complex. They get a 1 billion free health plan. Why don’t you?
Originally [1,000’s of years ago] every family was assigned 5 acres of land for family to have good clean food. Where is ours?
I takes only 50 Billion to feed the world’s population for 200 yrs. Why can’t this be done? Why is yours spent on war?
Why should big media, governments, corporations and such exist if they spread only fear, wars, and slavery?
Free power technology is out there, build it and use it.
Roman system of government, religion and control must go, get rid of it and it’s proponents or most life on earth will die.
Each time you wake up you vote by accepting their system or not. Wake up!

Not one single Washington politician has the courage to utter one word of criticism about Israel. If that isn’t complete and abject submission, I can’t imagine what is. What has happened to the land of the free and the home of the brave? How did we become a puppet that supports the open slaughter of innocent children, women, and unarmed non-combatants? I thought we were real men here with values if not virtues. I know Bush is a punk but the entire Congress cowering and groveling before Israel, a bunch of paranoid, schizophrenic, religious, hate-filled lunatics with WMDs? Washington, D.C. should be renamed Wimptown, D.C. until someone steps up and gives Israel what for.

Bush might be an idiot of the first order, but he happens to be correct about Hamas in this instance. The decision on peace in Gaza is entirely up to Hamas. As soon as they stop committing acts of war and terrorism against Israel, military action against Hamas will almost certainly stop, despite the fact Israel is justified in carrying this much farther than they have already. It’s a simple concept enshrined in international law known commonly as the right to self-defense. When an entity, in this case Hamas, aggressively and without provocation launches armed attacks against civilians, any country on earth is entitled to respond in an attempt to counter and stop the violence. It is a natural right, and fully justified. Oh, and when the group engaged in aggression hides behind clergy, children and other civilians like Hamas does, they bear full responsibility for any consequences and civilian casualties that result. Hamas is also interested in killing as many Palestinians as possible, as evidenced by their use of private homes, greenhouses, hospitals and mosques to store and house weapons and explosives. Sorry folks, a mosque does not explode multiple times because people are reading the Quran. Nope. It does this because tons of explosives are stored in the basement awaiting use against Israeli civilians. Notice that Hamas rarely or never actually attacks the IDF, either. They instead launch cowardly attacks against kindergartens and schools, all the while preaching the benefits of genocide and religious purity. Why on earth do left-leaning progressives side with reactionary racists like this? I don’t get it. Especially when the mythology built up around so-called “Palestinians” is so blatantly false. Defending groups like Hamas is disgusting and does nothing to promote peace anywhere. Actually the opposite.

hamas must stop being attacked!
it its up to hamas to accept every demand on them before we will begin negotiating.
hamas is guilty of using the the people of gaza as human shields. and the only acceptable resistance will be to ask the israelis to pass threw there fortified prison walls stand in the middle of the desert then fire there home made rockets.
this is all hamas fault and will continue as long as they continue to be the democratically elected government
we can have no cease fire because it has to be lasting and hamas will just use the next cease fire like it did the last to have a massive milltary build up on the gaza border and propaganda campaign threw out the world to get world powers to at least wait out the first few major invasions of Israel.
and in closing lets all remeber 9-11 and our “special ally” (meaning no actual alliance so they are not an ally, ok)
and get ready for all the great books to read about how president bush was really great and the tragic victims of the war on terror like Alberto Gonzales.
i really thought it amazing when all the right wingers finally admitted bushes absolute disgrace but if any one is gona really swallow there constant revisionism we really are a doomed nation HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

Report thisThis is one of the best reponses I have read. Yep, Hamas is the only
democratic elected entity in the MidEast.
Remember when Hamas was elected? Bush came on TV and shouted
“This is Democracy in Action” The next day, he said that he would not talk to
Hamas. What hypocracy! Especially since Israel is Aparthied like Africa was.
No Gentile can work, do a thing in Israel. To quote one of their prime ministers and I believe it was Sharon or other ” One thousand Gentile lives are not worth a Jewish
fingernail. Remember Ben Gurion [sp] ? He stated that they would kill, kill, kill, Palestinians in order to settle Israel. I am paraphrasing this, but, if you want the

Couldn’t you practically hear him sweat? His eyes shifting around like he was being electocuted? Poor bastard, having to hold such filthy lies in his mouth.
It is Israel that refuses to honor the ceasefires, not Hamas. And how can anyone say with a straight face that Hamas is “aggressive” when Israel is slaughtering 100 times as many civilians as Hamas?
Look, I can understand that Israel is nervous being in the middle of a bunch of enemies. But lets get real about what actions they take in “self-defense”. This latest atrocity is approaching genocide.
As was done to them by the Nazis, they seem to feel entitled to do to the Palestinians.
I guess they read “Heart of Darkness” - “..exterminate the brutes…”

Howard, I wonder what makes you suggest that Israel does not target civilians.
Tell me, is the destruction of a hospital, a university and five mosques going after rocket manufacturers? Or is it going after innocent civilians?
Furthermore, Hamas may “rule Gaza with an iron fist” but let’s face it, the Hamas model is the only truly democratic model that exists in the Middle East. Aren’t we as Western countries supposed to be promoting democracy?
Or are we to continue disrespecting functioning democracies when the outcomes of their democratic elections are not to our liking?

About time Israel responded to the non-stop vicious bombardment by Hamas. Good for Israel to finally respond. Israel does not target civilians; no, they go after the rocket makers, their factories, and the rocket sites. This is in contrast to the indiscriminate bombing of civilians by Hamas.
Hamas tried very hard to provoke Israel. They want the world’s sympathy. Glad to see us not give it. Hamas rules Gaza with an iron-fist. Could stop the bombing in a moment.

As a subscriber and donor to “Jewish Voice for Peace” I received a message, part of which is posted below. What a difference between those noble Jews and judicious Jews and the Zionist terrorists running the state of Israel and supported by evil Bush administration!
================================================
“The news about the attacks in Gaza is beyond words. “Appalling” doesn’t even come close.”
“U.S.-supplied Israeli F-16 warplanes and Apache helicopters have fired missiles and dropped over 100 tons of bombs on dozens of locations in the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip. Over 300 people are dead and at least 1,400 more are injured. Many if not most of them are civilians. Food and medicine were already in short supply in Gaza and all medical facilities have been completely overwhelmed by this onslaught. Access to Gaza has been cut off by Israel.”
“This is the most violent and heartbreaking situation that has happened to the Palestinians in recent history, and it must stop. In addition to calling for protests at Israeli consulates and federal buildings, as well as letters to the U.S. and Israeli governments, Jewish Voice for Peace staff and members are already putting together an aggressive campaign focused on Gaza. And, without a moment to waste, we call for an immediate end to attacks on all civilians.”

What a joke. Saying a country shouldn’t do something and then funding the country so they can continue doing it.
Bombing didn’t work for Hitler with England or for America with Vietnam. In fact, bombing always seems to rally and unite those being bombed.
So far the score in this round is 4 to 337. If those numbers keep up we may finally see and end to this in the form of extermination.

The world’s most powerful country continues to distort reality to a sickening degree. Where is the Bush administration getting its information?
Officially, Israel has declared that it is attacking Hamas. In reality, it is attacking all of Palestine, its people and its infrastructure, destroying a university, five mosques and a hospital. This is compounding to a horrifying degree the immense humanitarian disaster that was already flourishing in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Israeli blockade.
Where are the leaders that are willing to point this out?
