‘Daily Show’: Oh, the ProfanityPosted on Dec 12, 2008
Woe to the wayward legislator or media pundit who makes a public blunder while Jon Stewart is on his watch. In this installment of “The Daily Show,” we see disgraced (but not deposed) Louisiana Sen. David Vitter, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and other power hounds fall into Stewart’s carefully laid trap of shame. Sing to “the dream police” by Supertramp? “The thought police they get inside of your head. The thought police you know your soon enough dead. The thought police their coming to arrest me.The thought police thought I would kill my wife. They said I would do it with a big chef’s knife and now I’m going to jail for the rest of my life. oooh nooo” get the picture.Even the worst football referee knows when to blow his whistle and throw the penalty flag. What’s the deal with stopping Blagowhatever from actually committing the crime?“Hey,Charlie Manson don’t you go over to the Tate’s house tonight we know what your up too.“If Patrick Fitzgerald or Gerald Fitzpatrick whatever, was on the Manson case this is what we should expect?I don’t get it,they’re going to let this idiot cause all kinds of havoc in Illinois because they wanted to do what? Save the Senate.Sorry your too late we have criminal Senators clinging to power and outright refusing to leave when fully admitting guilt to committing felonious crimes.Who are they protecting? The good Governors replacement for Obama’s old seat is my guess. Are we going to see others being arraigned in the thought courts. Will are new Administration christen their rule with scandalous accusations handed down by thought Grand Jury’s and harped by thought prosecutors who think the Obama administration was somehow complicit in the thought of selling the Illinois senate seat.I know my comment is pushing things a bit but if this wasn’t really happening,if the U.S.Attorney was coming out with actual evidence of a crime or if he had simply let it go until the right moment(and I would have given him that choice with confidence)and took in all who were involved and let the people on a jury of their peers decide their fate.If there was a link to Pres.Elect Obama than let us decide the severity of his involvement.I don’t understand what was served by preempting the commission of a crime, going on national television to start spinning yarns about wanting to “save” stuff when if you allowed the crime to unfold, without letting anyone get killed of course, bag everyone involved and let the chips fall where they may we would not be where we are today.I THOUGHT that my Judicial system was blind. When in reality they can see but they’re wearing glasses that only focus on certain criminals. There is something that is very clear to me .If Patrick Fitzgerald starts investigating the Obama Administration Barack will have no choice but to keep Fitzgerald on,as he would most likely let him and other Bush appointed U.S.Attorneys go as is customary practice with an incoming president.Pres.Elect Obama would face harsh criticism if he didn’t allow Fitzgerald to continue investigating. This would give old Patty boy another four more years as U.S.Attorney if not more if things get really dragged out.Just think of the budget for that prosecution, perhaps a new record. This is exactly the kind of crap I and most of my friends are sick of and if anyone was doing something illegal I don’t care who it was arrest them and move on.Until we work these people out of our government it’s not our government duh!We will never truly know if what U.S.Attorney Fitzgerald said was exactly what happened because they stopped Gov.Blagojevich(hope that’s it)from actually committing the crime. And we pay these people?I’ll tell you what,I have an American bulldog that THINKS if you are afraid of him you must be a bad person(he’s pretty cut and bite)and if your a bad person your most likely guilty of something,I suggest we let him decide. If he doesn’t serve up his special form of justice we’ll let you stick around for a little while.Just be warned ,Titan likes to go visiting and he’s fond of politician.

Muscleboy,
People who espouse freedom and civil and constitutional rights should not be so quick to lynch people like this: remember innocent until proven guilty?

That is why, as a ultra liberal; could not vote for Obama or McCain this election.
I did vote Democratic—in the state/local races in the 2008 General election.
I seen right through it; the hypocrisy of the change mantra; and the roots of the mob rule Democratic politic (we are now witnessing)—which goes all the way back to African worship of the sun god (ritual) in which, a emotional fanatical mob would cut out the heart—of an innocent person—and offer it to the gods; as a means to bring peace to the minds of the mob, or tribe.

The sick thing is so many liberals, including nearly the entire lot of Democratic party politicians seems to have tried and hung Blagojevich. The facts speak louder than this self serving lynch mob. The Bush Justice department wiretapped his phones for years and only got him TALKING ABOUT BUT **NEVER** ONCE DOING!!!. How many people scream murder threats at George Bush when he makes a speech on television?? He was mad at the Tribune writers SO WHAT!! MOST INTELLIGENT PEOPLE ARE DISGUSTED BY WHAT PASSES FOR THE PRESS IN THIS COUNTRY!!
Blagojevich’s words are without any reality to them. The evidence shows this is mostly likely a criminal persecution by Fitzgerald working for the Republicon dirty tricks squad, which if so is a felony on the part of the prosecutor.
Fitzgerald has spent a good part of this past election trying desperately to incriminate Obama. He failed. The only one trapped was Rezko and he didn’t get a conviction on him for any of the serious offenses, it was a great waste of resources by any measure. It was a bogus effort by the Bush Justice department to bring down or severely damage Obama. That is all it is.
People who espouse freedom and civil and constitutional rights should not be so quick to lynch people like this: remember innocent until proven guilty?
The Republicons stand behind wife beaters and child molesters in their party. It makes no sense. Why do the Democrats seem to fear the Republicons so much? The Republicons have committed massive crimes on a global basis for the past 8 years. Let’s STOP REACHING ACROSS THE AISLE AND START SPOTLIGHTING THESE MONSTERS FOR WHAT THEY ARE!! Stop supporting Democrats who reach across the aisle. It’s all just a big game of politicians at our expense. The REAL crime needs to end one way or the other, this country is being wholesale slaughtered by these crooks.
