O Dar—well, you certainly feel strongly about a COMEDIAN, eh? You do know it is not supposed to be a NEWS show, right?

Sure he softballs some! HE IS A COMEDIAN!

Get yours news from Fisk. Funnies from Stewart.

But, if someone thinks they are getting something more “intelligent” (that word is sure used alot lately—I think everybody think that they alone are intelligent!)

On the other hand, isnt MSNBC supposed to be a NEWS organization ? Comedy Central ...is not..I suppose you said that, but your visceral hatred of Stewart is a little puzzling. I dont like Olbermann—in fact I think he is ful of sh*t. But, I dont detest him…lordy.

KDelphi:

I forgot, to answer your question: I don’t fuind anyone “bright” and “independent” on all issues. I trust certain people on certain issues only (like a Robert Fisk on the Middle East), but certaily not some hypocrite tv host.

KDelphi:

This is the same Stweart who, after constantly attackig the media for softball questions to politicians, himself does the exact same thing with the likes of John Kerry and Dick Cheney’s wife.

Further, I remember one incident that clearly shows him to be the loud-mouth idiot that he is: Stewart is always attacking the Saudis vis-a-vis the oil industry, he’s been doing it for years. Yet one time he had an oil expert on, and he (Stewart) expressed surprise that only a quarter or less of U.S. oil imports come from Sauid Arabia, with more coming from Canada and Mexico. So aparently in all those years of Saud-bashing, he never once bothered to spend two lousy minutes on the internet to check out just how much oil is imported from Saudi Arabia.

But to be fair, Stewart’s studio audience is a hell of alot more annoying than he is.

O Dar—so who would you consider “bright” or “independent”?

BTW—I certainly dont like everything he does—better than Colbert (who is now, cooincidentally!! playing at the coranation , I hear!). I submit that, as far as brains and independence, Stewart buries Olbermann! Also, he is a non-Zionist!!

Lewis Black ? Usef Mandvi? You think Olbermann is brighter than these guys? Hmmm.

re: KDelphi, December 5 at 12:00 am:

Amen to that, KDelphi.

Also, note this:

Olberman has seethed and raged against the Iraq war, against Hillary for voting to authorize it, against the oil companies, against the Bushes, against the Republicans, against Blackwater and Halliburton and the other war profiteers - but have you ever heard him direct even a moment of righteous indignation against Israel or the Israel lobby, even though Israel is the key to the failure of “liberal” members of Congress to mount an effective opposition to the “bipartisan” war party?

I don’t see much of a difference between Stewart and the those he ridicules, other than he’s maybe a bit funnier and screams less.

But both aren’t exactly bright or “independent”.

It is about time! MSNBC is the neo-liberal FOX News. No thinking, no honest reporting, just all emotion, all mad Obama love, all the time.

Ben Affleck OWNED Keith Olbermann on SNL and few weeks ago:

Jon Stewart has captured the exact cultural moment when everyone suddenly became aware that MSNBC’s fawning over Obama has gone from a little over-the- top to downright creepy. I mean, they have adopted his campaign slogan as their own, combining it with hagiographic images of The One, as the core of their own advertising campaign.

Media shock-n-awe is sooo burned out. Save me a few bucks on advertised products by shutting down these overpaid, emotion wangling bad actors.

Stuart is worried that with Bush leaving he won’t have any material to work with.  MSNBC will never be enough.

I watched this last night. Sad but it might turn out to be true. Objective and unbiased reporting seems to be a dead or dying art.
