AFA video
youtube.com

The town of Eureka Springs, Ark., is held up as a cautionary example of how “well-organized” squads of homosexuals are taking over God-fearing hamlets across America in this instructional video promo. “Learn the strategies used by gay activists, and don’t let this happen to your city,” the narrator warns in a soft Southern drawl.

Nice touch with the pseudo-techno soundtrack there, American Family Association!

Homosexuals DON’T promote their lifestyle or have any agenda other than live and let live. Marching in demonstrations or pushing for respect is NOT promoting a lifestyle; it’s promoting Constitutional rights.

Heterosexuals DO promote their lifestyle inasmuch as they wish to define marriage by their terms and discriminate in jobs and housing based on their perceptions of acceptable bedroom behavior.

Therein lies the difference.

Does anybody in today’s world actually believe this clap-trap?  It truly is the more-offs that believe this shit.
I am a proud hetero, and have many friends that are not, should they be discriminated against because of their sexual preference, or their genes?
If so, the next people that will be discriminated against will be you, the more-offs of this world. No more playing the religious game, you will be quarantined for the protection of society, because of your belief system. No more freedom of religion, will be allowed because of the lack of compassion and seemingly profound idiots who will be running this country if you have your way.
The Republican Party is not the party of the “big tent,” as they so often say, they are after only one thing, power and the resulting laws and rules they can enact so that, people like you, crazed and indoctrinated religious right wing-nuts will be left out in the cold and rightly so.

Hate to be one, but this kinda isn’t funny.  Sure, it’s ridiculous; however, most people in this country take material like this seriously.  We shouldn’t be laughing when Prop 8 passed in a supposedly liberal state like CA. We shouldn’t be laughing when out-of-state sponsored religion violates CA legal autonomy.  Every argument made against gay marriage is either scriptural or a derivative thereof, all which are federally and locally unconstitutional.  Here it comes..

CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION
ARTICLE 1 DECLARATION OF RIGHTS

SEC. 4.  Free exercise and enjoyment of religion without discrimination or preference are guaranteed… The Legislature shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.

This is called a compromise.  This exact idea is echoed in the US Constitution in the form of the 1st Amendment.  This compromise is the most elegant solution the world has ever seen with regard to religion and politics not infecting each another, yet it is inadequate for a large sector of the faithful.  I don’t know much what we can do about it but I really don’t think dismissive laughter at convincing propaganda is the place to start.  Thoughts? - TheEnd

OK, when? I wait and wait and they never show. Politics here could use a little shakeup.

If they have found the gay agenda, do you think they could tell me when my doctor’s appointment is?  It’s time for my yearly anti-jesus booster shot.

This sounds like the beginning trailer for some horror flick.
FYI ‘Townies’ Their already there, they may be your neighbor, or your sister or your boss!
As for the GLBT activitists beware of becoming your detractors. My Husband and I are Liberals and advocates for GLBT Rights, but have been on the receiving side of some BS just because we are Heteros when in a predominately ‘Gay Area’ or event.
Vindictiveness and Self Righteousness appear to have found a foot hold in this movement too. Perhaps in reaction to the hostile, unyeilding tactics of the Immoral Right, but they are are also turning atypical supporters Off to their cause too.
In the arguement regarding ‘marriage’ vs ‘union’ it would be wise to remember that not all Heteros are allowed to ‘marry’ in religious ceremonies either, thus Not ‘married in the eye’s of God’- who cares as long as it’s Legal.I am a staunch defender of Homosexuals rights to be a legal partnership, however I am not going to try to force the Catholic Church (or any other) to recognize such things as a Religious ‘marriage’...That’s up to that Church and that Congregation.so the Recent Picketing outside CA Churches appears to be a act of futility and counterproductivity to the real issue.
Honestly the Far Left has become as Unyeilding and Unrealistic as the Far right, thus causing each to become more unreasonable in their demands.Stop focusing on the Religious Institutions and work to change the State & Federal Laws….Protesting outside Churches is wasting time better spent lobbying your State Capitol. If your Church Refuses to ‘marry’ you…Get over it and find a new church, or Religion which better suits your convictions and beliefs. Our Constitution has plenty of Evidence which supports your right…‘All Men are created equal… with inalienable rights’...‘Life, Liberty & the pursuit of happiness’.

Anyone besides me old enough to remember “Reefer Madness”? Let’s hope we can “look back and laugh” about this too, and sooner.

i thought after watching this funny trailer that it must be about 30 years old and nothing more than something we can look back and laugh at.  then i visited the afa’s website.  i was horrified to find that the video is still being offered, among a fine selection of other videos warning of homosexuals, hate crimes(!), and darwin.  i am totally grossed out.
