Blowback Time for LiebermanPosted on Nov 11, 2008
Robert Greenwald’s Brave New Films is making the case that, as the title of its “Lieberman Must Go” video clip suggests, Sen. Joe Lieberman should be taken down a few big notches by the Democratic Party for his actions and assertions during the presidential campaign. I am a registered Dem from Fla, and a past committeeman. Never liked Joe Lieberman and liked him less when Gore picked him as VP candidate in 2000.
He is simply not a Democrat, and does not believe in the values that Pres Elect Obama brings to office, so why let him serve as chairman of an important committee? To my mind he is a Republican, votes as one and backed one for Pres. You know if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it must be a duck. I say

What? Is this a joke? With the amount of invective directed at Jim Jeffords when he went independent, somebody comes out with he was never called a traitor?
That is ridiculous. Historical revisionism is an ugly beast even when only being used as a petty insult.

Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I) Con., should have listened to the Democratic voters of the state of Connecticut, when in the primary to the election of 2006, they resoundingly rejected his candidacy as a Democrat, chose another candidate and forced him to make the irretrievable decision to show his true colors.
Report thisSen. Lieberman, was not the true to the party Democrat that he always purported himself to be, and when push came to shove chose to “liberate” himself from the constraints of the Democratic Party.
How rude and disingenuous of him after all these years to finally show that he cared not one whit for those voters he hoodwinked and bamboozled into believing that he stood for something, when in actuality he was all along a Republican in disguise.
For this alone he needs to be booted out the door of the Democratic Caucus and any of the positions that he has held and does hold in way of chairmanships and positions of power in the Senate.
Surely then you will see the true Joe Lieberman and his ties to the ilk of John McCain and the Grand Orgy
Party.
Give the Senate Democrats a fresh start and tell the leadership of the Senate Democrats that “Lieberman must Go!”

Lieberman is so distraught he turned to an ape for therapy:

STAMFORD, CT – In the midst of helping John McCain grieve, PhD Ape took a red-eye flight Monday night to be with Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman.

along with her little dogs in the DLC.
Report thisWhich candidate first used islamic fears to persuade the voters (that picture of Obama in African garb)
Which candidate first attempted to par out the Women’s movement from the equal rights Movement
which Dem was the first to claim Mac had ‘Crossed the Threshold’ of presidentiality over Obama?
Which Candidate belittle the Democratic Base for their ‘Audacity of Hope’?
Who sounded far more like a Repug than even most Republicans…‘Obliterate Iran’...sounds just like ‘Bomb bomb bomb Iran’ to me.
At least LIEberman can claim his ‘independence’ as an excuse for his treasonous rhetoric, What’s Hillary’s excuse?
The Clintons and their minions of the DLC should be cognizant of the Fact THEY have been Rejected Too.
Gore, Kerry, Hillary, Edwards- All DLC LOSERS!
Hillary’s Red Slip dropped out from under her pantsuit as soon as she began voting in the Senate- She lost because REAL Dems could Smell the Corp Whore Stench, Her covert Neo Con tactics were a dead give away.
How many more Rejections of the ‘Third Way’ must we scream before they realize they too have been Rebuked? Neo Cons and the DLC Two sides to the same Coin, Corp operatives working both sides of the street! You are here by Exorcised from both parties!
Don’t ever call any Dem a oxymoronic term like ‘Reagan Democrat’ it reveals your treachery.

And yet Obama says not to oust him. I have to wonder if Liebs’ credibility and effectiveness is not totally gone by now. Let Deputy Dawg stay…keep your enemies close.

Not a fan of Lieberman, BUT the citizens of Connecticut elected him NOT AS A DEMOCRAT but as an INDEPENDENT.
So whatever folks here believe he is not a “traitor” just an independent, doing what independents do.
Funny, I never heard the word “traitor” from the Republican side when Jim Jeffords jumped ship. Guess those people who noticed that switch had more class?

Without being pejudice to any one of his ilks,I would honestly, prefe to see Leiberman out of political life. But at a second thought, seeing Emmanual at the Whit-House,and with Americans who can’t figure out a city from a comtinent,Leiberman’s ambition may dreadfully, come true come next election.

Of course Lieberman cannot be trusted. Of course he held no investigations as committee chair Re: the Bush Administration malfeasance, whereas Waxman, his counterpart in the House, held dozens of hearings. And of course he actively campaigned for Republicans, thereby helping, in his own small way, to incite crowds’ cries of “Kill him,” “Terrorist,” and “Hang him.”
Now, at this point, you and I would probably shout, “You get the tar, I’ll get the feathers!” Which may explain why you and I are not president-elect of the United States, owing to the fact that we are overly excitable. Obama has stressed throughout the course of his campaign the importance of reaching across the aisle. Liberman has already done the worst he can do. Everyone knows him for what he is. So…um…what to do here?
Report thisToss him from the caucus and the far right will screech about Democrats’ insincerity and failure to keep campaign promises. Give Joe a justification (whether real or imagined) to whine about being persecuted for his beliefs, and he will most certainly take advantage of it. So my best guess is that the Dems will vote to allow Lieberman to caucus with them, and stip him of his chairmanship. After that if Joe walks, he will look like the piece of political garbage he has proven himself to be.

There is no better time / opportunity for the Dems
to clear house “NOW” with such a rotten SOB-traitor.
Anyone who might think along these lines of >forget and forgive< should never, ever make another mistake, since
a Rat like him cannot be trusted…ever. Period.
