And neither would you, if you were him. He’s a maverick, after all. Just because a majority of Americans don’t want him to be president doesn’t mean ... oh.

For those still skeptical about whether the last two elections were stolen, I recommend watching, listening to, or reading Mark Crispin Miller on Democracy Now! October 22, 2008: http://www.democracynow.org/2008/10/22/votes

For example, here’s what Miller had to say when Amy Goodman asked him how he knows the 2004 election was stolen:
AMY GOODMAN: How do you know that?
MARK CRISPIN MILLER: Well, I know because there’s been an audit of the vote in eighteen counties of Ohio by a researcher named Richard Hayes Phillips, who had his team literally scrutinize every single ballot that was warehoused in eighteen Ohio counties. They took over 30,000 digital photographs. This is not speculation, Amy. This is a meticulous, careful, specific and conclusive demonstration that John Kerry actually won some 200,000 votes in those eighteen counties only that were taken away from him. Bush’s official victory margin, you may recall, was about 118,000. So there is no question about it. Ohio was stolen.

Maybe they just won’t manage to pull it off this time, or maybe they’ll decide it’s not worth the risk because Obama’s lead is too big, but that doesn’t jibe with McCain’s recent statements. They’ve gotten away with it twice in a row.  It’s only logical to think that their success has emboldened them to try again.  In addition, this time around they have a new weapon: the Bradley Effect.  They can claim McCain won in spite of the polls because closet racists lied when they told pollsters they’d vote Obama, and the only way to disprove that claim will be to catch them red handed, in the act.  We’ve already seen that showing after the fact that an election was stolen has no effect, and there’s evidence both for and against hidden racial bias in elections.  An article by Jennifer Couzin in the 10/10/8 edition of Science magazine describes researchers’ conflicting results.  What’s especially scary in the article is that some research has indicated that hidden bias could cause enough skew to easily swamp Obama’s current lead in the polls.

Obama’s lead is bigger than Kerry’s was by quite a bit, and awareness of what happened is higher than it was, but I’m still getting that same sinking feeling I got just before the 2004 election.  Hopefully it’s just butterflies!

When these guys, McCain & Palin, talk about socialism and the spreading the wealth from the rich to the poor;  please tell me what socialist country in the world that does it?  Palin mentioned Sweden in one speech as being socialist….or the West(WFTV in Florida)interview with Biden…who writes these questions for them? I know of no country in the world that does this…do you?

The greatest redistribution of wealth ever to occur in the history on this country has been happening over the past 8 years. In that time, more money (trillions!) has been taken from the hard working middle and lower classes and transferred very effectively to the upper class. The last ditch effort to get $800billion (or more) to “shore up” our financial system was, in actuality, the last attempt by these crooks to cash in BIG before their brain-dead politician-pets get voted out. Imagine that! And we all fell for it!
Of course, they have not given up entirely. If you think that the people currently in power in this country (I mean Oil Companies, Haliburton and the like) would have any hesitation in breaking a stupid law or two to keep control, just remember the $trillions of dollars involved! Vote suppression - done that, it’s easy! Miscounting and losing ballots - so what if they even find out, only some poor schmuck clerk is gonna do time. Rigging voting machines - we know they are doing it and they don’t even care!
The stakes are high - eternal damnation for the right-wing religious nuts for voting for a Black Muslim, but even higher for those that will destroy this country rather than “redistributing” any of their ill-gotten spoils of class war.

I agree with Greg that this is something we should fear. Why do I feel this way? Because Karl Rove has reared his ugly, thieving, lying, cheating head the last couple of weeks. This has me concerned that he’s doing what he does best behind the scenes. And old McGrumpy confidently saying that he will “pull this off”. That statement alone should scare the beegeebers out of everyone.

The lying girl who was beat up and robbed….the robo-calls…..the Alaska guy who got gifts…joe the plumber who is not a plumber and has defrauded the government by not paying taxes…..The lies about “plumber” not being able to buy the business….the “running mate” who tried to burn knowledge and ruin peoples lives when she was angry with them….the speeches meant to spread fear and hate while instigating people of low mental abilities to “do repug dirty work”....WE-THE PEOPLE-MUST NOT ALLOW THE REPUBLICAN PARTY TO STEAL ANOTHER ELECTION!!!!!!!!!!

An utterly stupid argument. Of course he thinks that he would do a better job than Obama. What the polls shows is that a vast majority of the participants believe Obama will do it better.

Saame lack of logic.(.or maybe he’s in severe state of denial) regarding his running mate. The fact that he and his demissing kohort of followers believe Pailin is qualified means squat if that sentiment isn’t shared with the electorate.

The demented old warrior McCain will “win” the 2008 election the saw way Junior did in 2000 and 2004; thru massive voter fraud and corrupt computerized voting machines and officials.

We’ll see a repeat of 2004, when the race was going to Kerry until the wee hours of the morning, when voting totals started to flip in Bush’s favor, thanks to hacked computers.

Within a year of stealing the presidency, McCain will fall ill to his cancer or his heart will fail and we’ll have Palin as Commander in Thief.
