So Alan Greenspan isn’t clairvoyant, as it turns out. Whoops! Neither, apparently, are Sarah Palin’s handlers, or else they might have done some bargain shopping instead of landing their leading lady in a heap of trouble over her pricey threads. This week’s “Left, Right & Center” lineup (all but Ms. Huffington) tackles these topics from the recent past and looks to the future of the Grand Old Party on KCRW’s popular political radio show.

This week’s Left, Right and Center was as always an enlightening and provocative program.
The problem with the show this week lies, with the Mr. Blankely, he made a spurious statement that anyone who votes for Sen. Obama, is not a true conservative and is not worthy of the moniker.
This is by far the worst statement that he could have made, for the true conservative is one not of the tax and spend, big government variety that we have had for the last 8 years.
The shrub and his administration are not and should not be considered true conservatives. They have usurped the name conservative and used it wrongly and with malice. For a true conservative believes in smaller government, less taxes, less burden on the people, and less governmental intrusion into the lives of the citizens.
This is exactly the opposite of the results that we the people, have seen in the last 8 years. We now have the worst government ever in the history of the United States, we have the most intrusion, the most taxes levied, the biggest military in the world combined, we are at this point in time, at this point in time we have the least amount of privacy ever in the history of this country and it will only be worse under an administration led by Sarah Palin.
For she will be president if John McCain is elected on Nov. 4th. How can Mr. Blankely, describe himself as a true conservative is beyond me. There are true conservatives but they are not members of the Grand Orgy Party.
The true conservative has abandoned the GOP for the Libertarian Party, because they now have the tenets of the conservative at heart. Nowhere in the GOP is the conservative welcomed and they are not represented by the GOP and have not since Ronald Reagan’s administration.
