Who Needs Robocalls When You Have Robo-Rep. Bachmann?Posted on Oct 18, 2008
Shades of McCarthyism? In her televised rundown of practically all of the anti-Obama talking points conjured up this election season, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., calls the Illinois senator (and other “liberals” in Washington) “anti-American” on Friday’s “Hardball.” YouTube via MarcCooper.com: Previous item: McCain's Oil-Talk Addiction Next item: Palin and 'SNL' Hug and Make Up Elsewhere: . She is a perfect example of what you must do to rise in the Republican party - sell your soul and pander to the hate-filled, war-mongering and corrupt base of the party. Ask McCain - he used to really be a “Maverick” within the party. Now, he is just another mouthpiece for the intolerance and bigotry of the few who hold the keys to the coffers.
Report thisRead about, listen to and watch Obama’s messages of unity and hope. Then switch to McCain and his surrogates like this woman - nothing positive, nothing hopeful, nothing intelligent.

Everyone should contribute to Ms. Bachman’s opponent in her re-electiono bid. What a loser. She does not represent her district well. I look at her smile and think she actually believes the crap she spews. Everyone should send a few bucks to her opponent and get this “nutto” out of office.

It seems to me being Republican and Black and being Republican and Female is a lot like being a Jew that belongs to the Nazi party.
It leaves the question why would you support a political movement that is clearly racist and sexist? But, it really isn’t a surprise when one thinks about all of the women who stick with lay-about and abusive husbands and the number of slaves who enabled the slave owner to control others. I guess there is a basic blind spot in our make up, too bad the blind spot isn’t about differences.

Can´t believe what is happening and the junk that is coming out of Bachmann´s mouth. It only reflects what Palin & associates are saying about pro or anti American values and the Socialists and the talk about going to Congress and finding out who is pro or anti. What about Palin´s connections to the Sucessionist groups in Alaska and her husband sitting in many of her meetings in the governor´s office in Alaska. Is he lobbying for someone?
Can anybody tell me what country in the world, socialist or not, will spread the wealth around? There is none that I know of and this is part of their flawed thinking during these desperate times.
This is the worst of the worst in politics leading up to voting that I have seen since I started to vote in the late 50s.

How did McCain’s handlers overlook Bachman when deciding who would be his running mate? Not enough kids? Bust size too small? Not “folksy” enough, or what? Bachman certainly preened during Matthew’s interview. With her plastic smile and the periodic widening of her eyes I wasn’t sure if I was watching a human or an animated dummy.

Define what is American? It is really sad that common sense is not required to be in office, and no degree of intelligence is necessary to vote, this is what you get when you mix ignorance with stupidity and she is just the tip of the iceberg.

Bachmann is already spinning that she didn’t really say what we see and hear her saying, and somehow it’s the media’s fault.
Does anyone else remember a candid moment on the McLaughlin Group some years ago when Bill Kristol said, “There’s no such thing as the liberal media. It’s a charge we made up and use because it seems to work.”
I’d love to see that clip posted on Truthdig!

The truly “American” thing-in principal-is to afford people like this their voice, in the so-called “marketplace of ideas.” Of course, “in principal” has been a fictional, idealized place in this nation’s history, except for those of this ilk.
Report thisNonetheless, while we don’t have to even pay attention, never lose sight of the fact that this great, liberal democracy was founded to allow us-and idiots like these-to have and hold our own opinions.
Only if she was to put such un-American beliefs into practice would she then be fit for prosecution (and luckily since treason is a capital offense in this morally retarded nation), execution.
How’s that for an “originalist” stand?

The people of the district of Michelle Bachmann, who have elected her need their collective heads examined. How in the hell, did she get elected? In any debate, I believe that she would tear the house down with rhetoric that is inflammatory and incendiary to the point of causing riotous behaviour and the red-meat repbublicans to foam at the mouth, in anticipation of her speeches.
Report thisShe reminds me of another woman repug, Sarah Palin, where does the Grand Orgy Party get these pit-bull’s with lipstick?
In a much better world, one in which, the content of a person’s ideas not their loudest, and most obscene thoughts, screamed at the top of their lungs, would get them elected, my choice for the president would be Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich. He has shown the strength of character, the wisdom of the world, and the ideals of America to the nth degree. If there was ever a time when we the people, needed a choice between the two parties, this is the time.
Yet for lack of a better term, this election is about a beauty contest now. With Sen. Obama, and the VP candidate, Sarah Palin. Well, this really is not a choice, because Sen. Obama, far outweighs Sarah Palin, in the areas of thought and off-the-cuff speaking than that dumbest of bunnies, Sarah Palin.
I do not understand the choice of Sarah Palin, for the running mate of John McCain. I was the proud recipient of one of those robo-calls, I listened carefully to the points made and lo and behold, the same tired excuses used by Michelle Bachmann, were used by the McCain-Palin ticket. Frankly, at this point I would prefer a candidate who did not think that America is the number 1 nation in the world. We have too long taken on the “baddies” of the world and I am sick and tired of our men and women dying on foreign soil for oil and natural resources that we have an abundance of here in this country. And if we do not then we need to find a way to harness renewable resources so that we lessen our dependence on foreign petro-chemicals.
Michelle Bachmann, would not know a good idea if it hit her in the face regarding any future spending on the economy, renewable resources, and education of our children. For want of a better term, she is a shill for the far right wing of the GOP, for whom any person, that does not think like her is anti-American.

We need to get some more level headed people in Congress. I wish it could be as easy as http://goooh.com/

Michelle Bachmann is an embarrassment to Minnesota. This is a congresswoman who is claiming that a US Senator is a terrorist. I don’t get it, I really don’t get it. The only thing I can figure is that she’s worried about her election and is trying to excite her base. Well, I got news. Her base is a pretty wealthy area of the Twin Cities and they are losing their shirts over the financial crisis. I don’t think anybody normal thinks Obama is a terrorist and Michelle Bachmann made herself look more stupid than the day she couldn’t keep her hands off Bush at the state of the union address. SNL be my guest.

Perhaps this ridiculous women should question Sara Palin’s hushand about his efforts to get Alaska to succeed from the union. About the organization he proudly represented who’s laeader declared his open hatred for America up to his death from trafficing some plastic explosives. That sounds just a wee bit anti american to me. The republicans seem pretty good at deciminating talking points for the minions to memorize. Not so good when confronted with any facts. What an example she is of a populace asleep at the wheel that she should become a representitive.

Yep, I’m from Minnesota, unfortunately I’m not in Bachman’s district. I have met her and she is what you see on camera. A placating Neo-con wannabe, self- absorbed individual. I am ashamed of her and hope the good people that live between St. Cloud and Anoka voter her OUT! Did any of you see how she fondled Bush at the state of the Union two years ago?

Instead of adding to the deserved slams against this wack job, donate to her opponent Elwyn Tinklenberg to get her out of Congress!

I guess that Ms. Bachmann will set herself up as the “Patriot Decider” and those who fail her patriot test will be sent to Gitmo. With people like this in government, the question should be, how close to fascism are we? The most disappointing aspect of this interview, was Tweety’s unwillingness to call Ms. Bachmann on her lies. What a pathetic interviewer!

Somewhere (forget where now), I saw someone suggesting that the best way to get rid of jerks like her was to help get her opponent elected by each of us donating small sums to his campaign. I read up on him; his name is Elwyn Tinklenberg and he’s a decent sort who would be a major improvement over Bachmann. Someone started a page on ActBlue for helping this guy beat Bachmann:

I too, saw this babbling idiot and still keep wondering how she was ever elected in the first place. Can we still have those who have failed to evolve, remaining in the dark ages living in caves who electing these people?
Perhaps it is time to send those of this mindset to Alaska, where they can meet up with Sarah the wolf killer and await their end of days prophecy and leave the rest of the country to those who don’t think like “they do”.

I watched this live too and was beside myself that a bimbo like her could be elected to congress.
If she had a dick she just stepped on it. A majority democratic house should ensure she gets santioned for her statement.
Great ammo for a Democrat running for that house seat.

Unfortunately, I watched this interview live and was on the verge of throwing up!
