Keith Olbermann took time on “Countdown” Tuesday night for a “Special Comment” about the outbreak of hostility toward Barack Obama at recent McCain-Palin rallies, holding John McCain directly responsible for stirring up the crowds. “These people are speaking for you,” Olbermann insisted.

Subject:Once More About Keith Olbermann…..

As a journalist and anchorman of “COUNTDOWN” of MSNBC’s cable channel,as a political observer for the last 56 years,I can say once more, without a grain of hesitation that Keith Olberman is the greatest political analyst since the golden days/years of the late Eric Sevareid who was unbeatable in the accuracy of analyzing and reporting the political events of his time,in the last century.

For those who may be interested in knowing who Eric
Sevareid was,I would suggest to Google the following:

“Eric Sevareid’s special library at University of Minnesota”

and you will get plenty of information about Eric Sevareid.

I have commented in the past that although different in style,Keith Olbermann is the Ric Sevareid of the
the Twenty First Century.Olbermann is as Sevareid was
true to himself and to his audience in INTEGRITY,
HONESTY and BELIEVABILITY that rarely matched in the
field of TV journalism.

Thank you,Keith Olbermann, for boldly and honestly expressing what I have in mind about McCain/Palin
sordid campaigns in which the words “terrorist” and
“kill him” were uttered by some individuals in the
McCain’s/Palin’s rally,against Obama.

John McCain and his Hokey Mom from Alaska must be
bluntly reminded that their campaign rhetoric is not
just nasty,it is dangerous and must be stopped, because it is creating and instigating an atmosphere
of hatred that may lead to outbreak of uncontrolled
violence.Period.

McCain said tonight, in the last debate, that he is proud of the people who come to his and Palin’s rallies.  He praised Palin.  Now you know where he stands.  Of course, he can’t afford to lose any more votes.
I’m glad not to be one of the mob at their rallies. The fewer of those kind, the better.
I appreciate Olbermann’s stance on this.

Fahrenheit 451;

I think you might be surprised to know how many people ARE watching Olbermann!

MSNBC loves him, ‘cause he brings LOTS of folks to their version of mainstreammedia that wouldn’t be there otherwise!

A great big THANKS to Olbermann for doing something that needed doing. Namely pointing out to McCain whatever vile and ugly things come out of his campaign belong to HIM.

It’s HIS campaign. HE OWNS IT!

And if that bothers him, he better do something about it besides look the other way, or try to deflect or change the subject. Must be an awful shock for the man to discover so many voters have gotten smarter than they were back when the Bush first dropped into town! McCain needs to understand Palin and her pack of wing-nuts are a the REAL threat to his electability!

Cant wait to see what Letterman has to say when and IF McCain shows up on his show Thursday night! I think we can all count on his mentioning he doesn’t like to be stood up ... or lied too. But will he point out to McCain HE does indeed OWN the bad stuff?

Mr. McCain, is and has become the smallest man in the power structure of Washington, D.C. His choices and motivations for the power of the presidency have made him a complete and raving lunatic, who, will drag this country into the mire of despondency and despair if he is elected.
His ranting about Sen. Obama, through radio and television advertisements, and through the mouthpiece of the dumbest bunny in the world, Sarah Palin, have heightened the racial and moral tensions that have existed under the surface of America for far too long.
Mr. McCain, you sir, are responsible for the catcalls and calls for the assassination of Sen. Obama, which happen at rallies for your tickets support. You have created an atmosphere of hatred and violence which inflame the hypocritical aspects of the “Christian Right.”  How dare you sir, continue your campaign in such an atmosphere.
Mr. Olbermann, your cogent and succinct arguments have hit the target when it comes to the campaign of Sen. McCain.  Your observations of the ticket of McCain-Palin, are without compare and should be trumpeted loudly and clearly for all the electorate to hear.
Yet, I fear, that those for whom Mr.McCain is quite the messiah, will not listen to someone who makes sense and who has a brain in their head.
Yes, I disparage those who cannot think in a critical manner, and who cannot make up their own minds. For these people are the backbone of the Grand Orgy Party, they are the “red-meat eaters,” who cannot make any sense out of the impending doom that is to occur if the McCain-Palin ticket is elected.
You GO Man! Keep fighting the fight! We the thinking people of the world may win yet.

Yes, Olbermann is preaching to the choir, much like Truthdig. We can sit here and rant and rave about McCain/Palin, The Repubs, conservatives, fascists, corporate welfare, corruption in Washington, etc., but nothing’s going to change unless we get off our fat asses and do something pro-active.

Though I can since your frustration from your comment, I do not concur with at all [Fahrenheit 451]. First, there is a difference between “ranting” and someone using their resource (job/association/etc.) to do “their” part in acting a “voice of truth”...We need more (way more)journalistic reporting (the truth) like Keith Olbermann then the “so called” biased journalism we are “forced fed” each day. He is not only “on point” in his reporting, he is (99%) percent of the time speaking the truth. Listen….research the facts yourself, and see that the facts are blatantly “right in front of your face”.

Your “tone/stance” you take in your comment is, in my opinion (just my opinion..), one of defeatism…which I understand from what we all have gone through in these last eight years (well…not all of us, and longer then that really). Do not forget that is what they (the current administration/cronies/ the actual puppeteer’s behind the scene)would like us to think of Keith O. and his reporting…not going to happen among the “thinking/common sense” community.

I highly respect Keith, and am not saying that he is perfect or that he has not ever reported anything that was not true. I can remember two reports that he made that were in error…..and he “recanted/apologized for those reports on both occasions the very next day of both reports”.....that is a true Journalist/reporter right in front of you, make no mistake about it!!

As a person who like so many have to know the “truth”, I do my own research as well, and it is “great” to see comrades like Keith out there with us!
Never stop being a “voice of truth”!

Anybody that says the republican party is conservative has had their head in the sand for at least 12 years it’s become a party of freaks, rednecks, racists and the social criminal. I thought conservative meant except for the protection of the country and our liberties the federal government should not exist.
I hate them all at this point (With a Dripping Passion) but OMFG the democrats are at this point wildly more conservative. When the **** are people going to wake up and create a legitimate conservative party.

The choir appreciates the support and the rants aren’t rabid irrational tirades. I expect with the current campaign intensity that a lot of Republicans and undecideds are tuning in.
We have had a multitude of right wing nuts supporting the drooling class for years. The time has come for the left to have some fun.
Way to go Keith!

While Olbermann’s rants are usually spot on; does anybody really listen?  Is he ranting to the choir?  If so, then he is a voice in the wilderness where a tree falls and nobody is there to hear it?
