Palin Booed by Hockey Fans

Posted on Oct 12, 2008

Philadelphia hockey fans were less than thrilled to meet “the best-known hockey mom in the United States” over the weekend. With the arena music coming to her aid, Sarah Palin endured a full 90 seconds of booing at the Wachovia Center.

Note: A number of readers have complained that the following video fails to capture the booing in its full derision. Sorry about that. For all the wonders of technology, text is sometimes still the superior medium. Here, then, are a few reports to fill out the story.

Slumlord,
Gotta give it to ya, it’s waaaaay beyond stoooopid, for McStoopid/Failin to understand about the “Intertubes,” and all the other assorted fun kinda “thingies” that are available to the “unwashed masses!!”

They seem to be stuck on Goebbel’s(sp?) mantra; “If I tell a LIE long enough, they’ve no choice but to believe it!!” NOT!!! With the Internet, and ALL it’s fantastic, marvelous,SPEEDY STUFF, even the old adage about; “A lie can circumnavigate the earth, BEFORE the truth get’s it’s boots on,” doesn’t apply now. There are too many gimlet eyed, angry, and VERY WISE in the ways of the “intertubes,” critics, lurkers, interested, and downright,” I’m mad as hell, and I’m NOT TAKING THIS S%#T ANYMORE!!” people that are just searching for these Lead Balloons, so we can strafe the LIVING H%#@ outta them!!

WHEW!!  Sorry for the rant, but I feel MUCH MUCH better...(wandering to the fridge, getting ready to sleep...)

The only reason Palin even got this far is because her grand dad McCain needed her looks and not her brain to win this election.  This man is so desperate to be President since the last 10 years so he’ll do anything even if it means to elect a bimbo who could be a heart beat a way from being our President.  Scary, she can’t even name a magazine she read, name another Supreme Court ruling she disagreed with or her idea of foreign policy experience is that she thinks Russia being the next door neighbor gives her experience when she was interviewed by Katie Couric.  So Palin, you wake up and look out the window to keep an eye out on the Russians - that’s your experience?

boooooo...go back to Alaska and kill those innocent Moose.

With Philadelphia being probably the most republican city north of the Mason Dixon line, it says a lot.

this is actually an Adage used to describe Union Meetings in MI,so I busted out laughing when I heard Olbermann use it. Maybe that’s why McCain Cut & Run out of MI, Union members have a rich history of Bloodying Noses! And Busting a few Heads to boot!
The Union has not only come out endorsing Obama, they have come Out to do battle Against McCain- a Far worse Fate for his campaign, and the White Collars who’ve been Screwing US in the Big 3 (Might want to hide under your Desks Boys, Or at least sit down and shut up before We Whip your asses for 30 yrs of oppression and Theft (jobs, Wages, bennies,Pensions,Annuities, Homes, College Funds, Our dignity and Well Deserved Respect- We Built this Country, NOT The Big 3, Nor your pansy ass pencil pushers!)
A Blue collar Knows who the Original ‘Hanson Brothers’ are and they don’t sing songs.

Obama’s supporters should stop being selfish.there aren only mad at palin because they overlooked hillary.some women are jealous because most of them had dreams like palin and have been unable to achieve it because they decided to play second fiddle to their husbands instead of chaasing their dreams.she is about to suceed where they have failed. her suceess will be painful to men because even they have failed to attain the heigths that she is set to achieve.women stop thinking of yourselves and think of your daughters.wouldnt it be nice for ur daughters to achieve what palin has aachieved.make it easier for them.

If Obama attended the Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming, do you think he would be booed?
-----------------------------------------------------
Yeah, especially if he sang the Khazakhstan National Anthem like Borat.

Philly is its own world. Sports rallies take place on the steps of the Art Museum. Educated people say “yo.” Audiences applaud magnificent leaps at ballet. Schools sell pretzels in their cafeterias. Adults nod to one another on the streets. The city is a series of small villages adjacent to one another, and some people almost never leave their neighborhoods. It’s a great place to live--and one of the best kept secrets in the US.

I thought the audience at the hockey game was polite for Flyers fans. If they really wanted to express displeasure, they would have thrown trash at her, stood up and shouted her down.

McCain received many more boos at his own rally.

Having been to many Philadelphia sporting events, I’d say they treated her with respect compared to what I’ve seen in the past. That was not considered heavy booing in Philly. She’s lucky they didn’t throw trash at her.

If Obama attended the Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming, do you think he would be booed?
