Palin Spokeswoman, Alaska Lawmaker Face Off About ‘Troopergate’Posted on Oct 11, 2008
Alaska state Rep. Les Gara and Megan Stapleton—who is a former Sarah Palin staffer, now part of the McCain-Palin campaign’s publicity team and a member of the “Palin Truth Squad”—exchange heated words in these clips filmed in Anchorage after the “Troopergate” report was released Friday. While some of Gara’s and Stapleton’s argument may be too Alaska-centric for outsiders to follow, the clips offer a glimpse into how the Troopergate investigation has stirred up local legislators, media and representatives from either side of the dispute. I am an Alaskan - I used to have respect for Sarah Palin - Since she hired Megan Stapleton to do her bidding she is showing her true colors. Megan - you have a personality disorder - unfortunately there is no medication for being a complete HAG.
I am so angered by this woman I cannot even put it into words. She is a liar. Kudos to Les Gara for nailing her. I’d like to do the same thing. If I see her around town, I just might. Anchorage (360,000) is a small town in comparison to others in the US.
Megan used to be a reporter for the local NBC news. When McCain hired her she had the NUTS to call other reporters at home and harass them for not being more Palin “friendly”. Unbelievable!
The committee that started the investigation was MOSTLY Republican. All of whom questioned the dismissal. Then, under pressure from the national “republican machine” they had to “back-off” Some did, some did not. This whole thing NEVER had anything to do with Obama. When all of this happened Sarah wasn’t even a glimmer in McCain’s eye. How can they link the two together? This investigation was started prior to any “campaign trail” for Palin!
Where is the truth in the “Truth Squad”? The truth is you just lost yourself some votes and gained some dirty looks for when you return. Kiss your political climbing career goodbye Palin.

Does Gov. Palin has the right to hire/fire for any reasons?
YES!.
“But let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes ’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil” (Matt 5:37)
The troopergate investigation/report with some words predefined is of EVIL according to Matt 5:37.

I agree Palin was within her rights to fire Monagan if she wanted to, because in USA all employees are “AT Will Employment” which means your employers can fire or let you go anytime they want without any explaination.
But she is damn wrong to harass her employees. No one (Manager) has a right to make your life miserable. Palin and Todd should be sued for all the money they have collected from per diems and under the table deals they made.
SHAME ON YOU PALIN PLUS YOUR TODD HAD NO RIGHT TO VISIT YOU AND OCCUPIE YOUR OFFICE SINCE HE IS NOT A ELECTED OFFICIAL.

Hdtex, why do you think she puts on the religious facade all the time, to try to fool the ignorant into thinking she is an honorable, upstanding person and she is nothing of the sort. My late great grandmother used to say that those who run to church usually need to, but obvioulsy she doesn’t listen.
Fadel, sad, but not a surprising outcome.

Sarah Palin has been found to have abused her executive powers, violated state ethics, and lied about it. Found by a committee comprising 10 Republicans and 4 Democrats.
Under the Constitution, ABUSE OF POWER is an impeachable offensive.
Can anyone say, Nixon?
Please Alaska, call your girl back. America’s had ENOUGH.

The classes I teach at a national prestigious university involve cultural aspects to them. So I asked my ethnically diverse students to make a short comment on the following question:
“What would be your reaction if while lecturing, I keep winking and blinking at you?”
Here are samples of the most common comments:
* I think you have an eye-muscle disorder, and I
would advice you seek treatment!
* I think you are trying to artificially and
vulgarly be funny!
* I would be offended!
* I would take it as an offensive sexual advance and
I would launch a complain!
* I would feel uncomfortable!
* I would be distracted!
* I would call you derogatorily ‘the winking
professor.’
Then I asked them the following follow up question:
“What would be your reaction if I told you that I believe in witches and feel a need to be “de-witched” by a priest once in a while?”
Here are samples of the most common comments:
Report this* I will think you are a nut or a mental case!
* I will drop your course and launch a formal
complain!
* I think you’re extremely superstitious and feel
uncomfortable to learn from you!
* I think that you have a medieval backward
mentality and you’re unfit to be teaching!
When I told my students that this experiment was related to recent facts about Sarah Palin who is running for vice-president, I was surprised to know that only 4 out of 25 students suspected that my questions were pointedly related to Sarah Palin. To my disappointment I found out that the majority of the students don’t follow the news related to the elections.
Then, when I asked them to guess where it’s more likely that a young man could be lynched for whistling at a girl. I wasn’t surprised to hear that some said it’s most likely be Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, or some medieval country somewhere in the world. But I was shocked to know that those most selective brilliant students, who are the creme of the crop and pay some 35 thousand dollars a year to attend this school, did not know that this happened here in America.

It seems Finding 1 doesn’t sink in with republicans. They are only focused on the point that under state law, the governor can freely hire and fire any state employee without reason or cause.
They are completely ignoring the facts that Palin abused the office of the governor to pursue a personal agenda to settle a vendetta. This is what the MSM needs to hammer out to the public. Discussions and talking about parts of the report that satisfies a political stand camouflages the true impact of the report.

Believe Time.com has read my mind on Palin, Stapleton, and Troopergate:
“. . . Is the Palin administration shockingly amateurish? Yes, it is. Disturbingly so.
The 263 pages of the [Branchflower] report show a co-ordinated application of pressure on Monegan so transparent and ham-handed that it was almost certain to end in public embarrassment for the governor. . .
A harsh verdict? Consider the report’s findings.
Not only did people at almost every level of the Palin administration engage in repeated inappropriate contact with Walt Monegan and other high-ranking officials at the Department of Public Safety, but Monegan and his peers constantly warned these Palin disciples that the contact was inappropriate and probably unlawful. Still, the emails and calls continued — in at least one instance on recorded state trooper phone lines.
The state’s head of personnel, Annette Kreitzer, called Monegan and had to be warned that personnel issues were confidential. The state’s attorney general, Talis Colberg, called Monegan and had to be reminded that the call was putting both men in legal jeopardy, should Wooten decide to sue. The governor’s chief of staff met with Monegan and had to be reminded by Monegan that, “This conversation is discoverable ... You don’t want Wooten to own your house, do you?”
Monegan consistently emerges as the adult in these conversations, while the Palin camp displays a childish impetuousness and sense of entitlement.
