Keith Olbermann

If guilt-by-association is a game Sarah Palin wants to play, Keith Olbermann is more than happy to go head-to-head. Rev. Muthee, the witch vanquisher, anyone? How about secessionist Joe Vogler?

troublesum,

You asked, What part of the whole bailout swindle did you people miss?

We didn’t miss a thing. The position Americans were face with by those that stole the money and ran these companies into the ground was as follows:

they built the companies up into these giant monsters that were too big to fail (AIG) because of the effect it had on the US, the world and the masses

they were reputable companies (at one time)and got other companies like my company (Johnson & Johnson) to invest in them for the purpose of providing 401K plans for their employees. Johnson & Johnson thought it was a good investment at the time they selected it. I am sure it was.

they stole the money, through bonuses, stocks, options and golden parachutes (those 1/2 billion dollar packages to the head of Lehman)and left the company while the getting was good.

the companies began to fail

When the company began to fail and started to lose money on the stock exchange, the 401K plans of all the employees that work and that are retired started to lose money. So in order to preserve the principal in these accounts, the FEDS had to provide funds to get the market moving again. The stocks need to rise because everyone is so fearful of losing the little bit that they have saved all these years. The individuals are selling or moving their money into FED guaranteed money markets, fixed income just to maintain their pricipal. So I did not agree with the bailout, even wrote my Reps not to pass it. But after the initial anger, I had to look at the picture rationally. Not to mention the position these crooks put us in was that if Americans didn’t like it, we’ll (the crooks) will show you. If you let us fail, you will end up with nothing and no recourse.

I am not wealthy by any means, but I saved through the plan and my employer contributed a percentage for my retirement after 37 yrs of working. I took responsibility for myself early in my career so as not to be burden to society. To save to fund my retirement so I could have food, clothing and shelter in my old age.

So I said no to the bailout, let them fail, but one of life’s lessons is this, ‘if you destroy another person, you destroy yourself’. Same applies here. If you let them fail, you fail in the process.

They have already announced their ability to bake this election.  They have given it a name: the “bubba” vote, and they have given it a margin: 6%.

If Obama does not actually win by more than 6%, he will lose.

The BAD attorneys put into office by Gonzales are still there.  The good ones are still fired.  While the Republican complain about 75 “bad” votes cast through ACORN, the attorneys toss 100,000 votes with a stroke of the pen, accountable to only Mukasey.

And they will demand that you “get over it”, again.

Subject:Keith Olbermann,A Great Political Analyst deserves every praise possible…...

In one post,in the last three month,I commented that Keith Olbermann is THE STRAIGHT-SHOOTER IN JOURNALISM
OF AMERICAN TELEVISION,and in another post I have commented that OLBERMANN IS THE ERIC SEVAREID OF THE TWENTY FIRST CENTURY.

Olbermann’s plausible and coherent account about the hypocrisy and fraudulent past of Sarah Palin, the Hokey Mom and her husband,Tod,who both were
members of the Alaskan secessionist party of Joe Vogler have attested to what I have commented. It takes a great deal of search and effort to uncover all that.Thank you,Keith.

Furthermore,the Hokey Mom’s submission in a public
forum to witchcraft “religious” ritual conducted by
Mr.Muthee, the “witch vanquisher” is telling about the low quality in the substance of her being and reconfirm further about Keith Olbermann’s ability in
exposing the lies and the liars. How John McCain had chosen her to be his running-mate is beyond comprehension, but it raises plenty of question marks about the state of mind of John McCain himself.

Keep up the fascinating work,Keith. You and your effort are just wonderful.

For those who are too young to know anything about
Eric Sevareid I have compared Keith Olbermann to,
just Google exactly the following:

Eric Sevareid’s special library at University of Minnesota

and the Google search will immediately provide you with plenty of information about Eric Sevareid.

Good Luck….

I have thoroughly researched both candidates, and find that the difference between them is   .  That’s right nothing.
In the land of Oz, where the people reside, there is no difference between the candidates, they have both been bought and paid for by the very corporations that have created this global economic crisis.
I, state for the record, that should there have been a viable third party candidate I would have been obliged to vote for that person. I cannot in good conscience let a day pass without letting someone know that the real decision they have to make is, choosing between the lesser of two weasels.
Sen. Barack Obama, is nothing more than a corporate shill that will back up the very people who created the economic mess that this country and the rest of the world is now in. Yet, he calls himself the candidate of Change?  What change are we talking about? The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will continue, add to this the newest war on Iran and Pakistan. If you can add, that will be a war on 4 fronts and nothing can stop “president Obama,” from doing this, as we now have an imperial presidency along with an ineffective Congress and a Judiciary that will side with the “king.”
It is high time that the people of America throw off the shackles of corporate America and demand a new government that will listen to the voice of the people and control the greedy, avaricious #$%$#@@#‘s that have taken this country down the road to perdition. We the American people need to learn from the countries of the Balkans and the North Sea, they have successfully thrown off the shackles of Communism and elected their own people to the government. Mind you, theirs is not a perfect system but it is one that is responsive to the voice of the people.
Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich, would have made the best president, but the corporate controllers would not let his voice be heard, enough people did not hear the message that he committed to and therefore voted for a weasel. I am ashamed that no one took the time to really check into the backgrounds of the candidates and vet them, so that we really knew the candidates positions and platforms.
Should Barack Obama, win the election, we will have change. Not the change that all were hoping for, but the drapes and furniture will be changed and maybe the way things are said, but little else will happen because the corporate controllers of this government will not allow any substantive change in the system of governance that America has.
If you don’t believe me, check out HR 1955 and see if I am not correct in my thinking that we are now facing the extinction of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, and are truly facing a fascist government that will control the lives of all Amerikkkans.

Having watched the copious onslaught of lies out of the mouth of the so called “Christian” woman, I believe that if something violent does happen to Obama, and I hope it does not, Sarah and John should immediately be gathered up among the other suspects as it is their lies, repeated so many times this past weekend, that have stirred up the ignorant and easily lead republican followers who shouted in response to these speeches of “Terrorist and Kill Him.”

When I worked as a prison guard, this was called “inciting a riot” and Sarah’s spewing out lies and only partial truths, has created this situation. John is not totally innocent either. I have seen tons of sleaze and scum come out of the Republican Party, but this is the first time I have seen it to such a low level as this.

Do you really want this woman, who acts like a catty little schoolgirl bitch, who rallies others of lesser mentality ability, or just plain fear of her, to bully another person as Sarah is doing? Do you really think she would make a good leader of America with her immature behaviour and the hamming it up attitude during her speech? It looked more like a pep rally for cheerleaders. It is not cute or sexy, as some have commented. It shows that Sarah has lost control of herself in this power grab she is in and has let decency, common sense and integrity-not that she ever had much to begin with-out the door. I am certain people in other countries are not impressed with her performance. She is unbecoming as to what we need to represent this country. We have already had almost 8 years of shame and do not need a continuation of the same for another 4 years.

If, by some unfortunate event this party does steal a third election in a row, other countries will not tolerate this idiotic behaviour from our leaders. The minute Sarah starts her pep rally antics over some other countries leaders that she does not like or who disagree with her, be prepared to be squashed like a bug. I believe the rest of the world is tired of this type of boorish attitude and will not put up with it anymore.

John McCain is coming under new scrutiny for his ties to a group linked to former Nazi collaborators and right-wing Central American death squads. During the early 1980s, McCain was a board member of the US Council for World Freedom, which took part in efforts to overthrow Nicaragua’s elected Sandinista government. The Council later went on to become a major figure in the Iran-Contra scandal. The Reagan administration defied a congressional ban and secretly funneled weapons to the terrorist, drug-running Contras, the US-backed proxy group organized to violently overthrow the Sandinistas.

Yep, the good old days of the depression are replaying themselves 80 years later. Suicides, foreclosures, disappearing savings, out of control(supposedly) inflation and all the rest of it.
But ya know? It is all superficial. This is the hard part of having privatized utilities such as energy. Want to reduce the prices, nationalize them. Privatization just allows crooks the ability to claim they have to raise the prices at the drop of a hat just… because.
Privatization is the terrorist ideology of america.

yellowbird2525:

Sarah Palin as pit bull has nothing over you.

You’re falling into the “tax and spend liberal trap” rhetoric.  There’s really nothing wrong with taxes, is there?  Try running a super power without them.

I, like you all, have listened to a lot of outrageous rhetoric about the bailout and the condition of the US and world economy.  Sure, a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money.  This is a correction.  Everything, including RE has been way over valued for years, because bankers and mtg. brokers jacked it up to unreasonable levels.  We never seem to find the Goldilocks “just right” level for our economy because greedy people want to get the most they can in the shortest time possible.  We’d be a lot better off if people settled for less and let the economy find a more reasonable level. No one ever stops to think, it seems, that as the world goes along, there’s less and less for more and more people.  That’s disaster in the making and smart, socially responsible politicians with a global view should work together to avoid conflict.  People and countries need to be far less greedy.

I don’t think McCain/Palin have ever thought one second about any of this.  I know Obama has.

You’re angry, yellowbird, and rightfully so.  I hope you write your reps and give them “what for.”  We do have a system in this country, flawed as it is, and until we hit the streets, it’s probably not going to change drastically any time soon.  But maybe a little.  We shall see.

And, you might be right.  I’m going to have my ear checked out next week.  A brain as old as mine uses a lot of energy just keeping me upright.

Two questions Obama should be asked tonight: In view of the fact that people are committing suicide in the face of forclosure notices and the end to their unemployment benefits, do you regret having worked so hard to see to it that help for homeowners and extended unemployment benefits were kept out of the bailout bill?  As the candidate of hope, why did you work so hard to remove all hope from so many peoples’ lives?

The association of Palin with the Alaska Successionist Party is sometimes dismissed or glossed over because it was “...her husband” and that only he was a member of the Alaska Succession Party for a year and it was “..back in 2001-2002”. However, there is video of Sarah’s introduction of the party at their convention in March of 2008, (see Truthdig - re:Vetting of Sarah Palin)where (with her own words and video), she clearly supports the party and provides a video “kickoff” to their party convention.

Consider that she was governor and ‘executive’ (as she is so proud to tout as her leadership and experience) of the State of Alaska at that point and was providing credibility and support to a party that wanted to succeed from the United States!?

People who do not realize that Obama is wholly owned, bought and paid for, by wall street are hopelessly out of touch with reality.  As I said almost a year ago, he’ll change the drapes, the carpeting and the furniture.  He insisted that any help for main st be kept out of the bailout bill.  He worked the phones for two days leading up to the senate vote to make sure that democrats in the senate did not put into the bailout bill anything that would help homeowners.  So you can keep on telling these stories about people under eviction notice committing suicide while ignoring what got them to that point if it makes you feel better.

No one of Keiths most tightly packaged Special Comments. Not one of his best, but I don’t blame him, I won’t work to hard on that topic either- she inconsequential and Utterly irrelevant. so a Quick Scribe of condemnation was all that was required.
Compared to McCain,Plains Skeletons are easily hidden in One houses Closet..John apparently needs Several House’s Closets to bury his.
His long history of being in Big Bankings Pocket
His Love of the Oil industry and his Maverick tendencies with OUR Money,Resources and Lives.Funny how when they Were His on the Line, McCain Cut & Run Out of Michigan- Of course it was Only His Political ‘life’ he Protecting.
It’s Painfully obvious Palin has NO IDEA WHO and WHAT her running mate IS, Which is Why she still does not comprehend the ‘Lipstick’ reference. guess it’s hard to see the Pig behind You when YOU ARE THE LIPSTICK on it’s Lips. Palin is the Political equivalant to the ‘And Such’ Beauty Contestant (Oh so coincidently)

As for Palin all I can say is that she is being marketed on her sex appeal and nothing more. What we really need to understand is that the neo crazies have found a home in the mccain - palin camp and if they win the election these neo crazies will have at least another 4 years to wreck havoc on this planet. You should know that it was Obama who insisted that any help for homeowners like the woman who shot herself be kept out of the bailout bill.  He insisted on it.  In Obama’s view the federal treasury is petty cash for his friends on wall street.  I would say that democrats are responsible for the woman’s suicide.  In the crash of 1929 it was the business tycoons who were committing suicide.  Democrats made sure this time around that only little people would feel the pain.

I so hope you are right Dr. Knowitall.  I live in an area where the letters to the editor of the local paper are panicked cries to people to vote against socialism in the form of Obama, even though they admit that McCain is not much of a choice.  I’m convinced that the real reason they don’t want Obama as president is out and out racism, but they can’t admit, even to themselves, that they are garden variety racists.  So, while I think the majority of the country has enough common sense to elect Obama, I’m just not sure that we won’t see a repeat of 2000 and it scares the shit out of me.

Thank you, Keith Olbermann.  Unfortunately, neither McCain nor Palin are mentally equipped to understand what it is you are saying.  I doubt there are very many Americans who can’t see the tragedy in the 90 year-old Ohio woman’s situation with her home.  If they do, how could they not support a candidate who sees, understands and wants to change things that brought her to where she is?

Change happens at a snail’s pace, but now, I think the snail has been juiced up just a little.  I think and I hope we’re looking at the prospect of a slightly different and better America.

In Jan, we’re going to inaugurate a bi-racial POTUS and probably a Dem. majority.  This is huge.  There is hope, you naysayers.  Wall Street will not be the same nor will the gov. that helped them fail.
