Former Clinton consultant (Bill Clinton, in this case) and political commentator Paul Begala appeared on “Meet the Press” on Oct. 5, during which he criticized the McCain campaign’s ramped-up attacks on Barack Obama’s ties to former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers, while, according to Begala, John McCain should be concerned about one of his own past associations. Mark McKinnon, a former cocaine dealer from the early eighties when he somehow escaped a bust with two kilos of coke at friend Greg Galloway’s home in Austin, is Begala’s partner at PR agency Public Strategies and now works for McCain. Though their names appear and disappear on the masthead of their web site, these guys are old college buddies. McKinnon, who now teaches at Harvard is also a pal of Obama’s, according to MCat anyway. Oh what a web we weave when we aim to deceive, or something like that. McKinnon is also a pal of Bush and appears as a pundit on all the major shows so what’s the big deal? If you can change your stripes from cocaine dealer to pal of the prez, why not from your garden variety revolutionist?

The last act of a desperate campaign that has run out of ideas, run out of honor, run out of meaning and run out of time, but still MUST win by any means - FEAR!
A quick scan of blogs on just Truthdig, CNN and ABC show the following consequences for electing Obama (of course, no reasons or details are ever given):
Higher taxes
Fewer Jobs
Economic Collapse
Mexican border will collapse
All our soldiers will quit
He will fill his cabinet with radical terrorists
Israel will fall
Russians will attack us
Doctors forced to perform abortions
World will collapse (?)
He will reveal he is Muslim and will make us all worship Allah
Miscegenation (actually used the word Misogyny - something a bit different) will ruin our society.
He will pay reparations to all blacks for slavery
Race riots in all major cities
This just lists some of the more interesting ones. I am sure we will soon see plagues, locusts, warts, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes and athletes foot cited.
Report thisWhat is inexcusable is McCain and Palin feeding this frenzy with barely veiled racist calls to battle. “He is not like us”. “We don’t know the real Barrack Hussein Obama”. “We should all fear Obama - we have no idea what he will do when he is President”.
The honorable John McCain will have a lot of time to contemplate what he has done while he sits on any one of his 7 porches. A man who swore a code of honor as a Navy officer. A man who swore to uphold the constitution. A man who swore he would stick to the issues and never stoop to personal attacks. I hope he has a a very troubled retirement.

When it comes to “relationships,” there always seems to be a gap between McCain’s perspective and the perspective of the other party. Curiously, the other party always seems surprised to learn they don’t have a relationship with McCain - sort of like being legally married to McCain and suddenly discovering he has been issued a marriage license to marry somebody else:
“. . . McCain has said previously he resigned from the council in 1984 and asked in 1986 to have his name removed from the group’s letterhead.
“I didn’t know whether (the group’s activity) was legal or illegal, but I didn’t think I wanted to be associated with them,” McCain said in a newspaper interview in 1986.
Singlaub does not recall any McCain resignation in 1984 or May 1986. Nor does Joyce Downey, who oversaw the group’s day-to-day activities.
“That’s a surprise to me,” Singlaub said. “This is the first time I’ve ever heard that. There may have been someone in his office communicating with our office.”
“I don’t ever remember hearing about his resigning, but I really wasn’t worried about that part of our activities, a housekeeping thing,” said Singlaub. “If he didn’t want to be on the board that’s OK. It wasn’t as if he had been active participant and we were going to miss his help. He had no active interest. He certainly supported us.”

She sounds programmed.In a way I am sorry for her because she is used by the republicans to smear with a smile..Doesn´t she see this? No she doesn´t.She says she has been reading the New York Times,I bet(cha) she didn´t, but was told by her advisers to say so.
..... I think she was pregnant herself when she got married.I saw the video about her live.She claimed the only interesting boy in town,(she wants it all)She sneeked away to get married without her fathers knowlegde,,and on the same video they said that within 8 month the first child was born....as far as I know,it normally takes 9 months.....Why was she against good sexual education in schools in Alaska?
So other girls including her daughter get pregnant?

Actually Outraged, NO!
The reason the answer is NO, is because the Congress is made up of 535 people, and not all of them are, or should be considered criminals, or even part of ‘corporate america’ anymore than someone who was an employee at Sears, So. Calif Gas Co, Woolworth’s, Alaska Airlines, JC Penny’s, Maytag, Zerox, Piggly Wiggly Supermarkets, White Castle, etc, etc, etc, etc.
In fact, there are STILL members of Congress who don’t fit into the cage that you would like to place them, and the US Congress has not always been part and parcel of the Corptocracy.
So give it a rest. You’re boardering on the fanatical and the rabid at this point.

What Obama is - is different. Not of the typical presidential cloth. His has a weird name, mixed heritage, extensive travel history, Baptized believer with a 20 year church affiliation...but wait - his pastor said something horrible (that must be Obama’s position too! - because we all know we should totally disown anyone who says something we disagree with - never speak to or associate with them in this life or the after life...so what he is a Magna Cum Laude Harvard grad - Only a few people can make that claim - so yes, it demonstrates intelligence - and he did teach constitutional law - but is he real? I mean, he is so different - maybe we should all run now - black and white. Do you identify with anything here? Help us Lord, we assume that being different must means you are unworthy of the benefit of the doubt or respect!

McCain’s double standard is something else, especially when it comes to his own conduct. McCain, of course, always expects the public to give him the benefit of the doubt – something he would never consider giving the other guy:

It would only make sense to me to start looking into her claim “we should help our friends the Isrealis realize thier capitol in Jeruselem"I know this is’nt an exact quote,but I’m sure you get the drift.Are they simply going to ignore the fact that Jeruselem is the epicenter of the three major faiths?Are they not at all concerned about the reaction of the other two religions?One would have to assume they feel confident Christians have no problem with that idea,especially with declarations of that nature.Are they not concerned about the reaction of those in the Islamic faith? I figured out what I just can’t stand about Sarah Mascara. Aside from all this cutesy bunny, folksy, g-droppin’ bullshit. She’s is making some damning claims against Obama...very serious statements...indictments...and does it all with a smile on her face as if she was still reading the weather. She’s a sham...just mouth parts moving with nothing to back it up...an empty suitcase.
It’s a serious time Sarah, those are serious words. Grow up. Be “Presidential” (yeah, as if!).
