Maher on Palin
youtube.com

It’s no secret that Bill Maher is suspicious of organized religion (or any other variety of religion, for that matter), but something about Sarah Palin’s videotaped encounter with witch-wary Pastor Thomas Muthee of the Wasilla Assembly of God Church gets Maher especially wound up in this clip from his Oct. 3 show.

purplewood,

She didn’t lie in the interview with Katie Courric. She just didn’t know the answers. My wife was laughing and she said that Palin reminds her some of people she interview for some positions in her department. They didn’t know the answer so they just talked, you know, just talked so they would not appear like they didn’t know the answer. Is it the same as lies? I don’t know but I am sure that she didn’t know what the hell she was talking about or whether it was related to the asked question. You know she just talked, and winked and smiled and talk again and occasionally she shrieked when she found something could damages her opponent or lifts her low self-estem. So leave her alone, poor girl, they put her to a task and didn’t prepare her well enough.

Carson.Nichols:Upfront honest and truthful SHE IS NOT!

This woman has lies so much since her coming out, it is hard to keep track of them all. And she continues to lies on almost everything asked her. Or she evades the topic, refuses to answer, or goes very far off topic and answers something not related to the original question. Sarah even admitted she lied on one of her boasts, and then went right ahead and continued to tell the same lies, over and over while on the campaign trail her first month out.

As for knowing where she stands, it depends who she is talking to and what time of the day it is. Like the weather, Sarah Palin is that changeable. Just because a person claims to be Christian, does not make her a truthful person. Too many political people have learned they can fool the sheeple by claiming their religious ties.

And if you think she is a nice person, look no further to how she runs her political offices back home. Those who helped her, she has stabbed in the back, if a person does not agree with Sarah, they are targeted and often fires for no reason, most are afraid of her. You need to do some investigation, not much, as to the real woman you seem to think can do no wrong. And don’t forget the lies she is spewing about the anything pertaining to the democratic candidates. She even know she is lying, yet she still does it. That should speak volumes to you.

Sara Palin.

Forget your religious feminine restrictions. Give them the sexy look and the come hither wink. That’s the red necked male voters sucked in.

Forget about Intelligent understanding of foreign or domestic affairs. (Err! Forgot you don’t have any).
that’s good because most of your “Hockey Mums” don’t either. That should reel in a sizable proportion of
American voters.

Spout about God, Christian of course, that takes care of most of the bigots.

Don’t ever let that husband of yours get his way by removing Alaska from the Republic. That would make you a foreigner and you wouldn’t be eligible to run for a seat. But just think you could sell the oil
at a higher price.

So in short you just keep on acting in the same old folksy, not too bright, but charming and flirtatious way.  You’ll make it to the White House. Worked for George.  Pity it didn’t actually work out too well for America. But you get what you pay for .Although I think you are not actually paying in peanuts, are you?

Good Luck America. You’ll need it.

People, watch out. Last time we voted in a candidate who rode on the religious band wagon to his presidency and see what mess we are in right now. Religion is the soul of our lives but the welfare of this country and our fellows americans are at risk right now.
Here is true Palin that I have know, not from this video clip but from what I have seen.

Mayor Palin, we want to hear the real issues. Try harder to find something to talk about economics and all the changes and reform more specifically. I am tired of hearing slogans and rhetoric without any substance. It is irritating to see you wink at me when you can’t answer a question or smile when you are dogging the question by beating around the bush. I am tire of hearing “As a governor” or “up there in Alaska”. As a governor, you still use the same tricks when you are running for the mayor: the wink, the smiles, the rhetoric and most of all, trying to be a common folk while you are not. In Alaska you rode on the religious bank wagon to your Governor Office, now you are the staunchest supporter for big oil companies, no wonder why they just put in 1 million $ to your campaign. I guess McCain did not pick you as his VP, I think big oilers made this decision for him so they can get another loyal VP to replace Dick Cheney no matter how bad the economy is or how hard we Americans have suffered under this administration.
This is the first election that I am really afraid for the future of our country with economic turmoil and two unresolved wars that are going to be in the hand of a small town mayor from Alaska who has no experience in federal politics or international affairs. As for a governor, less than two years with all the controversies still going up in Alaska, I am even more pessimistic of your ability and personality.

I like Sarah. She isn’t like most politicans. She doesn’t blow smoke or give anyone halfway answers. She is upfront honest and truthful. I really enjoy listening to her speeches she knows what she wants to do, and you know where you stand with her.

One major problem in this country right now is that commedians are the only people who can state the truth in public.  Why the hell is that??

As a person who has, “seen the light,” and converted from the mass hysteria/good times religion of Charismatic/Pentecostal Christianity, I can tell you one thing that will make sense of this whole charade of Sarah Palin becoming V.P.: she shouldn’t!
In the history of the U.S. we have had many people of the Episcopalian faith. Some that have belong to other churches of the Protestant faith and one who belonged to the Roman Catholic Church.
Of all the faiths out there, Sarah Palin had to join the one with the most inane and superstitious beliefs. To actually believe that one can cast out demons, rebuke Satan, and “Stand against the enemy by the blood of Jesus,” is way beyond the pale and should not be practiced by any thinking person.
We see the results of Sarah Palin’s non-thinking form of faith, she could not even tell Katic Couric what book’s she has been reading, that’s because she doesn’t read any books other than the bible and maybe a commentary or two.
What in the “Sam Hill,” were the handlers of John McCain thinking when they chose this bimbette? Sarah Palin has to be the dumbest bunny on the planet and cannot string two sentences together without a script.  I am appalled at the lack of vetting that has occurred by the McCain camp, they should have known that all of the detritus of Sarah Palin’s past would come floating to the surface once she was named the VP candidate. If not, these dithering and blundering idiots should never reach the White House and have within their grasp the nuclear codes that would start the end of the world.
It shames me to think that a person, of John McCain’s stature could actually have been involved in the process of choosing this dumb bunny for VP.
As for the spoof by Bill Maher, right on the money! There is no business like the religion business. And more so the faith of the “prosperity/money” folk. These men and women, are the height of arrogance in their mansions, liveried cars and world trips, all at the expense of those hard working people who give out of their need to people who are shysters and thieves.
Give us all a break Sarah Palin and go back to the religious hole they found you in, for we do not need a person who is of your ilk one step away from the presidency of the US.

I’m not sure which one is more pathetic.. Sarah who requires mental escorts at all times or Mac Who looks like he should hand her the other end of his Leash!
What still has me Baffled is How Some Jews are blinded by these ‘Friends of Israel’ covert operatives. My Dear Jewish Friends, these ‘Christians’ have only made available 144,000 Seats for YOU on THEIR ‘Bus’!No More, NO Less! so if you hestitate to take adavantage of this offer Now you could be ‘shut out’ So don’t wait to Convert! ‘Operators’ are standing By. Of Course if Too few of you step up to accept this ‘Gracious ‘offer they have ways of Changing your Mind….Speaking of Waterboarding they used that on witches Not too far back in history too.
So Who is it that is a far better Friend to those of the Oldest Monotheology…Those who’ve spent 2000 Yrs trying to rebuke You or those who Too have suffered Under their tyranny and abuses.
Sarah adheres to a Religious Cult which has operated as long as man has existed, It Claims Rights and priviledges which are Far Above THEIR PAY SCALE.
Creationism vs Evolution, ‘End of Days’ vs Eternity- both topics are IRRELEVANT, Mute. Either way by which we can about -God or nature- WE are th eONLY Species on the Planet with the brain, mind and physical abilities to manage the Place! How or If it will end is also beyond our scope of true knowledge, thus ‘End of Days’ is not just a Waste of time, it contradicts our Primary Directive…The Ultimate Moral Sin.To not only deny your responsibility, but to work to undermine it and potentially lay waste to your ‘Charge’?
So You Take a Warmongering Senile Egomaniac and Add a Self anointed and appointed Heretical Fatalist and you have a Ready- made Self Fulfilling Prophecy!

May the theme of her campaign become like her now famous bridge and become the “Campaign to Nowhere”.  Not because she made it to the top and brought about Rapture (nothing left after the Nukes), but because people didn’t want to share in her vision of our destiny.  She already has decided what we want to hear and that she is the one to tell us—-messianic—- and from her it just pure hubris.
What was she like before the exorcism?  Are we sure it worked?
