In this apparently leaked clip from the slated Nov. 2 episode of “The Simpsons,” the original “Joe Sixpack,” Homer Simpson, tangles with a voting machine as he attempts to cast his vote for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Who will prevail?

That was great. 

And it seems strangely appropriate that the election would be included in the Simpson’s annual Halloween special.

Cyrena,

America is not democracy, it is a republic.
The elites are suppose to deter popular sentiment
which can be manipulated by a charismatic leader.
or at least that is what the founding father said as an excuse
because back then only the elites were educated and had property.
However, Electoral College was invented in order
to appease the South and Slavery question.
After civil war it was not removed.
So democracy is just an illusion.  Corporation
having individual rights and money is free speech
will make sure that rich are the real constituent of the politicians
not you.

This is what I’ve been saying about Texass and Florida for ages. Why do these 3rd world rogue states get to vote in American elections anyway?
